Hakoras Hatov for Lakewood Committeeman

Lakewood Committeeman R' Isaac Akerman is running on the Republican Ticket for township committee known as one of the most popular public servants helping yechidim and the klal looking out for everyone's best interest. He received the endorsement of Roshei yeshiva, Vaad and Rabbonim.  Las year the incumbent committeemen  ran  uncontested and the Vaad and Igud wrote strong letters of support as Hakoras Hatov to our elected officials asking everyone to go vote.
This year too let us show our Hakoras hatov to R' Isaac Akerman for all he's done for Lakewood  throughout the years as a public servant, with Mesiras Nefesh and distinction. Reb Isaac has served close to a decade on the township committee and  stands out for his accessibility, honesty and the sincere, humble manner in which he relates to each individual constituent. Guided by Daas Torah at every juncture with an achrayus for the klal, take a few minutes to vote for Reb Issac in appreciation and support to continue working on our behalf.

  1. Well said. Reb Issac is a true tzaddik. He is readily available to all residents of Lakewood he is the only one on the committee who really cares and does the right thing for the people he represents. His cellphone number is readily available to all.He fields calls all day and night literally. The least we can do is spend a few minutes tomorrow and cast our vote to show him we appreciate what he does. Please spread the word.

  4. In May 2014 I attended a GANGSTELACH (Igud) meeting. One of the members invited me.

I announced that I was going to write the Commissioner (file my case). One particular GANGSTELET that owns a girls' school stood up and pointed his finger at me shouting two times, in front of the mayor, committeemen & 150 other people, "NOBODY WRITES THE COMMISSIONER WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION!" I turned white & sat down.

I had nothing to with the GANSTELACH (Igud "leaders") other than ask them that day to allow their BOE to join me.

I asked my chavrusa and the BOE president's rabbi to help bring them on board but the BOE president said that he did not trust me. In conference, the BOE president slandered me saying I was never in court and that my case has no merit. The voted to go with David Sciara and the old Bacon case and it was dismissed with prejudice. I warned them that Lakewood's record in Bacon was dismal and to stay away.

I went to the Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbi Forchheimer to let them know that the case was mine should there be ha'sagas g'vul.

Then in 2017, sure enough, their new (old) attorney tried four times to steal the case. The judge denied each time. If he would have taken over the case we would not have gone this far.

Last summer I was finally on the cusp of an administrative position as a potential settlement to my demotion grievance when at the last minute some leading GANGSTELACH whom I never gave cause to hate me objected to and blocked the job.

    Such can happen b'yisroel?

    A Lang

    1. You obviously are not familiar with the township the other 4 are responsible for the traffic and taxes. Issac is the lone ranger

  6. Stop the hakoras hatov nonsense! If he has what it takes, tell us why. If he is offering us something that we want, we will vote for him. Hakoras hatov is not something a person can demand from others, and we do not have to vote for hakoras hatov reasons. We should vote our interests, not someone else's. That is how we will have true achdus in town, when each person can live with his/her own interests, not shitos. If one person wants more construction and another wants less traffic, let each person vote for what is best for them, without fighting.

    1. Very well said. Have you read Tocqueville, Federalist Papers, or got a degree in political science? One of the fundamental principles of this country is that a political minority has to have the ability to become the majority. If everyone has to vote the same, everyone has to share the same gratitude (Does it make sense to speak of a whole voting constituency having gratitude?) the minority (those who do not have the same interests and gratitude) can never become the majority.

    2. No, I have not read tocqueville or the federalist papers, neither do I have a degree in political science. But I know it from the same place they know it.

  7. He might be a great guy but he has been in-affective on real issues in town. This should not be a lifetime appointment! He had a chance and we are in worse shape than when he started out.
