We Need to Realize we Are in Golus
At the Q&A session of the Agudah convention The roshei yeshiva were asked about the Torah approach to rising antisemitism in America. Rav Brudny said that we need to realize we are in Galus and be thankful to our host country. He than lamented those politicians that are the faces of the impeachment proceedings targeting the president from when he was elected. What they are doing is causing hate and antisemitism against Yidden in America. He alluded to the video clip far-right Christian talk show who has posted a viciously antisemitic rant about the current presidential impeachment battle in the US Congress. Pastor Rick Wiles called a “Jew coup” Addressing the impeachment proceedings currently underway against Trump, on his talk show last Monday.

Apparently, Yisrael Beiteinu’s leader was traumatized by the polemic – by Sunday he still hadn’t gotten over it. He remarked:
רק באיראן אפשר לשמוע דבר כזה, שמדברים נגד המדינה, נגד חיילי צה"ל ונגד החכי"ם החרדים בעצמם. אם הוא היה נואם נגד ארצות הברית ונגד צבא בארצות הברית, היו מעיפים אותו בלי לחשוב פעמיים.
"Only in Iran will one hear [i.e. such incendiary talk] such as this – to speak against the medinah, חיילי צה"ל ,and against chareidim chavrei Knesset.
Were he to speak [in America] against the U.S. and its army, they’d deport him without thinking twice".

Agudah to Announce Barclays Center as Additional Siyum HaShas Venue
Hamodia- Agudath Israel of America has booked the Barclays Center as a livestream venue for the upcoming Siyum HaShas, as the main venue, MetLife Stadium, has nearly sold out, Hamodia has learned. The news will be officially announced at the Agudah Convention on Thursday night.
Most of the program at Barclays, located in Downtown Brooklyn, will be a live video feed of the program at MetLife, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Barclays will have one unique speaker, its own minyanim for Mincha and Maariv, its own kaddish following the siyum, and possibly its own hadran. Barclays will also have its own live musicians and singer.
The vast majority of seats at the Barclays Center will be priced at $36 or $54. Barclays has over 15,000 seats. Read more at Hamodia

The board approved to convert a house into a yeshiva office and gave a waiver for 8 parking spaces where 22 were required. for future use of the property the applicant will have to come back to the board.

Lakewood BOE Reneged on settlement
R' Aaron Lang wrote on Twitter that the Lakewood BOE reneged and did not approve the settlement they reached to give him back his teaching job. Even had the board ratified it he still would have lost $18,000 from last year since losing status as senior teacher.
Back in August the board voted to demote and transfer R' Aaron Lang a BMG alumnus and Lawyer, from his teaching job at the high school to a 8th grade teachers position. Mr. Lang filed an affidavit claiming the demotion has to do with his lawsuit against the state to provide more funding for the Lakewood school district since he subpoenaed district officials to testify in the case.
Earlier this month R' Aaron Lang supposedly got his old teaching position back after going to the Public Employment Relations Commission and reached a settlement. The Lakewood school district was expected to give him back the high school job for the 2020-21 school year.

On November 14, thousands congregated at the National Mall in Washington DC the V.I.E. (Vaccine Injury Epidemic) Event, calling on legislators to hear us out. But was anyone listening?
Apparently not in New Jersey.
In a letter dated November 14th, Senator Bob Menendez sent a letter to Mark Zuckerberg lamenting that New Jersey’s measles outbreak last winter, “has been fueled, in part, by misinformation about vaccine safety spread via Facebook ads”.
I live in Lakewood, where most of the NJ measles cases occurred. Early last winter, there were 30 documented cases of measles in Ocean County. Everyone recovered without incident and no serious complications were reported, but the Lakewood “outbreak” made national news and was used to amplify fears over what is a generally benign virus and create panic both within the community and throughout the state. Additionally, the outbreak was used to promote a sneaky legislative amendment that seeks to abolish religious exemptions in New Jersey. As winter approaches this year, it’s worth reviewing the facts on the ground.

Eagle Ridge GDP Application Approved
After a lengthy application process 30 hours of testimony the Lakewood Planning board approved the general development plan for The Parke development at Eagle Ridge Golf course.
Attorney for the residents said it will be challenged in superior court
The board voted on a motion to approve with some stipulations for improvements on future developments.
The attorneys for both sides made closing statements. The board deliberated for 30 minutes and members pointed out how Lakewood and the fairways enclave developments used to be wooded pristine areas and that they miss the golf course as well but now times have changed. Lakewood is now more condensed and this is the Lakewood we live in. The board said they take both sides and concerns into consideration. On issues of storm water and traffic the board applauded the attorney for the residents to bringing it to their attention otherwise it would have been a potential flaw. As far as traffic the first 3 phases are clear but the board would like to focus on the outside plan.
There were the conditions:
The roadways should follow the masterplan recommendations
There should be one lane in and 3 lane outs on Augusta blvd giving a left and right turning lane
Cross street must be widened to have turning lanes from rt 9 to E Veterans as long as its consisting with county improvements and design before issuing phase 1 co's
A traffic signal be installed at the Augasta blvd intersection prior to phase 2 co's
There should be a plan for Cross street to be dualized at phase 3
Before phase 4 there should be a plan for a second entrance into the development but not mandated only reserving the right to require
There should be a fiscal impact report prior to each phase
All storm water matters should be addressed before all phases.

On issues of storm water and traffic the board applauded the attorney for the residents to bringing it to their attention otherwise it would have been a potential flaw. As far as traffic the first 3 phases are clear but the board would like to focus on the outside plan.
There were the conditions:
The roadways should follow the masterplan recommendations
There should be one lane in and 3 lane outs on Augusta blvd giving a left and right turning lane
Cross street must be widened to have turning lanes from rt 9 to E Veterans as long as its consisting with county improvements and design before issuing phase 1 co's
A traffic signal be installed at the Augasta blvd intersection prior to phase 2 co's
There should be a plan for Cross street to be dualized at phase 3
Before phase 4 there should be a plan for a second entrance into the development but not mandated only reserving the right to require
There should be a fiscal impact report prior to each phase
All storm water matters should be addressed before all phases.

Matzav - It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rav Chaim Zev Malinowitz zt”l of Bet Shemesh. He was 67 years old. Rav Malinowitz was a brilliant talmid chochom and posek, whose wealth of knowledge and wide-ranging yedios haTorah were awe-inspiring. He was a devoted rov and a Torah guide to so many. Rav Malinowitz received semicha from the posek hador, Rav Moshe Feinstein zt”l. He served as a dayan and rosh kollel in Monsey, NY for years before moving to Eretz Yisroel in 1997.

When you think about what he does for Parnassah, it gives you the Heeby Jeebies feeling, because even if arguebly he is מציל נפשות still he's not the person you have in mind when you daven על הצדיקים ועל החסידים in שמנה עשרה.
Well deserved mockery should be heaped on whoever decided to publish this piece, because:
1. The process of elimination this organization employs, maybe a necessary evil but why glorify the enabler as a role model?
2. Their seal, or imprimatur is, in Talmudic parlance, מזויף מתוכו , it reads, בעין תחבולות יפול עם without tactics the nation shall fall, this means if we take care of business we will be safe and secure. In other words our destiny is up to us. Instead, the reality is the inescapable truth אם ה׳ לא ישמור עיר שוא שקד שומר the only one above decides everyone's fate.
3. If you expedite your goals by transforming Bnos Yisrael into Bnos Midyan R"L [והמבין יבין] then we are not the Jewish people at all.
Why must kids and impressionable teenagers read about someone who's proud of this unseemly stuff?
The editorial board of this Jewish "Weakly" can all use a transmission flush, or Jiffy Lube of honest genuine Yahadut.
You've got to realize that "The Mastery of Brisk" "Pesach in Beijing" & Mossad all in 1 publication is plain insanity - The inability to sort things out!

Girls Still Not in School
It's November, Chanukah is in 6 weeks you would hope not to report because it doesn't make sense, it can't be true. Unfortunately THERE ARE 8 GIRLS STILL NOT IN HIGH SCHOOL.
Every time you think it won't happen again it seems to be a yearly recurring problem in Lakewood that stretches out until 3-4 months into the school year until Chanukah.
Blame can go around and around but if everyone involved cared, all girls can be placed in no time.

The next meeting is scheduled for Nov 25th.

At this years Kosherfest in NJ, vendors showcased a variety of kosher products with CBD extracted from cannabis plants and THC from marijuana plant. Items such as oils, joints, Hemp cookies and infused chewing gum were on display by companies one with the name of "Ketoret" all kosher certified.

Traffic unacceptable... only for Cedarbridge
Lakewood residents sat in heavy traffic this week during the morning rush because of construction on Cedarbridge avenue. The LPD issued an alert to motorist to "try to avoid the area" notifying of the construction on Cedarbridge Ave between Avenue of the States and Shenandoah Drive. The Mayor reportedly was notified about the traffic a few days later and personally went to check it out he said that the traffic was unacceptable (tls) and ordered the East bound construction halted and that work be done at night.
First, there is no alternate route for motorist to take by avoiding the area, but more so, it speaks of how out of touch the politicians are. Do they not care about the daily traffic that Lakewood residents sit in each and every day in other parts of town! was anything done for the ongoing construction on Sunset James street for years on end. The daily parking lot on route 9, Cross street and Prospect street?
Why was this construction project approved in the first place during the morning rush on a main artery of Lakewood ?

Lakewood Math Teacher Job Restored after Demotion by District
Attorney and public school teacher and advocate for school funding R' Aaron Lang got his old teaching position back after going to the Public Employment Relations Commission last week and reached a settlement. The Lakewood school district will give him back the high school job for the 2020-21 school year. He wrote on Twitter that he is Still, actively looking for another district that will appreciate my contributions.
R' Lang a BMG alumnus who was there for 16 years was recently demoted from his math position at the high school by the school district with no explanation or reason given, the BOE approved it. He is also in middle of a lawsuit against the state to provide more funding for the Lakewood school district. The case is now waiting a decision after 5 years of litigation.

Yet, Lakewood residents spoke of crowded stores and long checkout lines in the days before the recently concluded holiday of Sukkot. These scenes repeated themselves in many stores in Brooklyn as well as Monsey. In a survey of kosher retailers, sales on average were said to have increased by 8% – 10% with some saying that they experienced double-digit growth. “There were many meals during the holidays which always is good for business,” said one retailer. Many of the stores said that they experienced sporadic shortages, specifically on some meats and in the dairy case.

The Body of Rebbetzin Laya Kreiswirth A"H was exhumed from the Lakewood bais olam on Sunday and reburied in Eretz Yisrael a year after her petira. A Levaya was held in Eretz Yisrael at shamgar where the maspidim pointed out that her body was still whole even a year later. Her husband ybl''c HaRav Dov Shlita is the rosh yeshiva of yeshiva Toras Chaim in yerushalayim.The rebbetzin was a daughter of the Pittsburgher Rebbe, Rav Avrohom Abba Leifer zt”l.
She was a noted mechaneches, and taught at Bais Kaila High School in Lakewood
she was buried again in Har Hamenuchos near her father in law Hagaon Rav Chaim Kreiswort Zatzal.

-NYC Marathon Verrazano will be close starting Motzei shabbos the upper level will be closed in both directions at 11 p.m. The bridge will be completely closed to all traffic on Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., in both directions for the race.
