Difference in Election Notice from Last Year

The official Vaad election notice last year 2018 had nice words about the candidates running for township and for other offices. This time around they did not say anything about the candidates besides for a general endorsement was this an oversight or done purposely? shouldn't the public servants and incumbent politicians get some extra chizuk and support? what happened to Hakoras hatov?

  3. Have some rachmanus it was hard enough to give the endorsement do you expect them to also praise them?

  4. They are so caught up with power control and disdain for a fellow yid who doesn't follow their commands on a whim.
The Vaad should be ashamed of themselves for this behavior let it be known to all that they represent themselves only the were NEVER appointed by the tax paying tzibbur not halachicaly or even with a civil vote.

  5. You may want to ask the school teacher/ attorney about what the "Vaad" thinks about having Hakaras Hatov for those who server the public.

Apparently, Hakaras Hatov is only reserved for those who do personal favors.

  6. Interestingly, TLS didn't put the endorsement up on his web site, instead published a fluff piece from the opposing candidate. I wonder why.

    1. Maybe because the vaad didn't give the endorsement as a first exclusive and put it in the bp

  8. Apparently they don't want Akerman to get a high voter turnout so they can tell him that he doesn't have a strong support in Lakewood.
The olam should go vote for Akerman.
Raitzik is a nice guy but he was placed on the ticket by the powers that be a day before the primary deadline to add your name.

    1. Ackermans opponent is a nice guy, but he is in way over his head. Even if he means well, he can be easily manipulated. If he wanted to do something about the over-development, why is he running against the one member of the committee who is opposed to over-development?

If he were running head to head against any of the other 4, I may even support him, he couldn't be worse than them. Although the fact that he is running against Ackerman leads me to question what his intentions really are

  10. Akerman is the real deal. Poor raitzik he took on the wrong guy. Don't you guys get it the vaad is cringing they don't want Akerman to win but they know its a lost battle they will never endorse a candidate that will probably loose they always endorse the sure bet so they can say they got the win... there is a reason they don't want Akerman he stands up to them to do the right thing for the residents of Lakewood he is doing his job, THE JOB he was voted in and swore an oath to do the best for our towns residents not like the others who do what the select few instruct them to. All the more reasons to show Issac our support everyone needs to go out and vote for him. Show the vaad they lost their grip. The time has come to drain the swamp. Akerman this year and next year get 2 legitimate new members. Then the year after m&m will run for the hills....

    1. I agree with your post with one exception. No one forced Raitzick to run against Ackerman. That was his decision, a decision he has yet to explain

    2. Apparently He was told to run by ML and the vaad keeps stringing along that may be they will endorse

    3. So he is already doing the bidding of ML and the Vaad without any independent thought, yet claims he is going to be an advocate for change?
