  1. Dime Bank never treated its customers right in Boro Park branches. That's probably why they had to close both Boro Park branches.
Now they're opening in Lakewood where they can similarly mistreat its customers. One proof-- they're opening an office building area, not in residential area, where customers can simply married alk over.

  2. Banks don't make money on couples having checking accounts. They make money on commercial deposits. Lakewood Chase branches have the largest deposits for a branch nationwide. Dime is looking for a piece of that business. That's why they're near the businesses.

    1. Then don't hold yourself out as a retail bank.
There are plenty of big-people-only banks.

This also means they're not giving mortgages and loans to local people. Maybe a little to these gvirim.
