- Trump: It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns. It is a GIFT from me of something which was always missing from this magnificent place. The digging and placement of the poles will begin at 7:30 A.M. EST, tomorrow morning. Flags will be raised at approximately 11 A.M. EST. These are the most magnificent poles made – They are tall, tapered, rust proof, rope inside the pole, and of the highest quality. Hopefully, they will proudly stand at both sides of the White House for many years to come!

Whatever makes you feel better. It's all unprovable regardless
ReplyDeletehttps://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ President Trump deeply appreciates when people thank him for standing for safety of the Jews
ReplyDeleteTell that to the Agudah who is always hoking him
ReplyDeleteDid the RY travel to Chicago in this van, or just in Chicago?
ReplyDeleteI've driven to Chicago several times, flew many times.
DeleteI personally prefer driving, it's very calming.
Takes 24 hours plus one hour time zone difference, normal driving, not too fast, not to slow (basically speed limit), with a couple of rest stops. Ohio Turnpike has rest areas with clean showers, picnic tables, nice place to relax and have breakfast and daven vatikin privately. Nobody bothers wearing talis and tfillin. And I don't have to rent a car in Chicago, can drive my own car.
it definitely does not take 24 hours to drive to chicago. 14 tops (going the speed limit). i've done it literally dozens of times.
Delete@anon 4:45 pm
Delete"Nobody bothers wearing talis and tfillin"
???!!!!!
He obviously meant "Nobody bothers *people* wearing talis and tfillin".
DeleteShame on Skver for hosting such a Zionist rabbi
ReplyDeleteFun Fact: HIs Father Spoke in Lakewood and it was approved by Harav Shach!
DeleteShhhhh.... dont tell the eitzniks....
DeleteAnd the story doesn't end there
Deletehis father did not speak in the bmg bais medrash. if i recall correctly, he spoke to a small crowd in the dining room.
DeleteIt was approved by rav shach? what does that mean? rav shach was never in lakewood.
I was there as a kid. He spoke in the (old) dining room to a packed crowd. Satmar sent busloads of chevra to disrupt. First they stood outside yelling but when they tried to come inside the bochrim pushed back and it became a riot. Rav Shneur was very upset.
DeleteTo play devil's advocate: Different era. We needed reputable allies wherever we could find them. Also arguably he is more zionistically generally pluralist than his father was
Deletei also was there. (i am anon 10:22) I don't recall the crowd being "packed". My recollection is that Rav Shneur was not only upset by the pushing, he also was upset that someone invited him to speak (without permission) in the first place.
DeleteI heard him speak to the Shaarei Tziyon kollel a few years ago. He's very humorous, but he spoke in Hebrew (no problem for me, but for Lakewooders, you have to be fluent.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Dad of this Zionist rabbi spoke for shalashudos many were not happy and after the zman went and shut the lights off in the dining room while he was speaking
ReplyDeleteThis did not happen in lakewood. maybe you're talking about somewhere else.
DeleteDo what R Shach was also a Zionist as he worked for s yeshiva that puts on its roof s tried zionist flag every year in their chagah!
ReplyDeletethat does not make you a zionist. I know it's hard for hungarians to understand these things.
DeleteYet he told NK :we hold the same against zionist secularism
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who "he" but no Gadol B'Torah ever said such things to the NK. Hischbrus and chanufa to Rashayim includes having anything to do with the NK. Even the Satmar Rebbe, (Rav Yoel) on his later visits to EY refused to meet with the NK representatives and refused to allow a hesped in Satmar on R' Amram Blau. And that was in the days they were still a frum group . As opposed to today when they are little more than a propaganda arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. And not just the Muslim Brotherhood . Specifically the most bloodthirsty and sadistic elements of the Muslim Brotherhood is what the NK has taken on as their current cause and purpose.
DeleteThere are different groups & branches with the same name NK.You're painting them all with a single brush
DeleteThe NK has always been a group that strongly believed in publicly making strong maachos . When no factor of theirs has ever publicly made a maacha over people with long beards and peyos using their NK name to give a haskamas and hechserim on people who even the non-Jewish world looks at as being sadistic mass murderers, I do not believe that they are any "good" factors in the NK. They are all rodfim and rashayim.
DeleteThere are old distinguished NK on shomrei emunim. You're spewing your ignorance.Probably absorbed from too many "centrist" blogs/substacks
Deletethe brisker rov was very close with rav amram blau. rav amram davened in his minyan in his house for years. the rov famously opposed his public macha'os but held of him as a talmid chochom and ehrliche yid.
ReplyDeleteMoshe Hirsch, NK chief later Arafat's buddy, used to come to the Mir.
ReplyDeleteR Chaim Shm showed distaste for him,but ironically referenced him in a sicha
