The Township has approved 5 MORE registrars, so the minimum they will have is 6.
40% of nights a year we can not have weddings (Friday night, Motzei Shabbos, Erev Yom Tov, Yom Tov, Sefira, 3 Weeks, most of Tishrei, etc.)
So on the +/- 210 nights that there are weddings, at 10 weddings a night - each registrar works on 1.67 applications per day.
How long does it take to process each application? What do they do for the rest of the day? What do they do for the rest of the year?
Registrars don’t just handle marriage licenses. They also record births & deaths and process requests for copies of the records.
