Re:Mash social worker Predictable Frum leadership a half generation behind. As usual
Several of my chevra went into social work a decade or two ago, because specifically something like what RGR is correctly recommending desperately should have existed, but unfortunately wasn't yet a reality. Still badly needed, & better late than never in this case
Please explain precisely what in a social worker's training prepares them to deal with, or to even understand, a teenager's life. Nada, zilch and efes.
Social workers are not trained for the roles they take on.
What's predictable is your nonsensical comment of frum leadership. Where has the secular 'Jewish' leadership led Jews to? How did steven wise and his complicity in the murder of 6 million Jews work out? How did Sally Mayer and his complicity in the murder of 6 million Jews work out?
How have the ivy league colleges, with degrees you so value, work out? Go ahead, chant yourself a river-sea, for free.
We don't need social workers. We need holy yeshivos, which are untainted by secular ideas. Mashgichim? Sounds like a good idea, which has always been part of the fabric of a good yeshiva. As class sizes grow, leaving rabbeim with more students to deal with, then more support staff becomes necessary.
