  1. I wonder where people's sechel is. Going down to Trenton to demonstrate against a group of people who have done us personally no harm is just foolish and wrong. Why create enemies? They won't discriminate between the few ideologues who demonstrated and the rest of the community who doesn't really have an opinion about these things. They have sent a message to a community that Orthodox Jews have a problem with them, and that is unfair.

And let us think into it. What is the problem with them getting licenses? How does it affect our lives? Even to those purists who have a problem with undocumented immigrants in general, what is it to you? Are any of us after the jobs they are taking? Do our lives suffer at all if these people smuggle themselves into the country? Don't we have more important issues to think about?

Political parties, from both sides, manage to convince people that non-issues are theirs. Don't fall for it. Same-gender marriages, illegal immigrants and toilet flushes are not our problem. Neither are dolphin habitats, indigenous tribes in the Amazon or myriad other left wing cause celebres. Let us worry about our own lives and only our own lives, who will make our lives better, who will bring more job opportunities into our lives. Nothing else.
