  1. Panini cafe is exceptional. Great food, great atmosphere. Like stepping into Israel for a little bit.

  2. I can't wait to check out Bingo. Stores usually have great grand opening deals so this will be fun! I enjoy the lower prices of competition.
For those that will say that they are taking parnassah from other people, that may be a lack of emunah. So many people moved into Lakewood and there's enough mouths to feed to support everyone.
When my grandfather was alive he was very disturbed that some business owners would be giving lots of tzedaka and not a decent wage for their employees. Those low paid Jewish employees would need the tzedaka to supplement their low salary. Please support your Jewish workers. I was disturbed to hear how many people are on Tomchei Shabbos. It's great to support them, it's even greater tzedaka to support your workers bikavod! Make sure they can make Yom Tov etc...

    1. You are talking out of both sides of your mouth at one time. You are delighted at even more competition coming. Do you understand the financial ramifications of this competition? Who can pay higher wages? Those who employ mostly aku"m at min wage or those who offer respectable positions to amcha? I hope that you work in a sector that unfair competition has reduced them basically to rubble but they have to soldier on at no profit, and see how you feel about it!

    2. I don't know who your grandfather was but I'm sure he didn't talk out of both sides of his mouth like you do.
You want me to pay my employees a decent wage, but you support more stores opening up to snatch my customers from me.

    4. I believe the point mentioned is that there is parnassah to go around for everyone based on Hashem's cheshbon and not on our feelings. One has to do their proper hishtadlus and throw everything into Hashem's hands. Stores, no matter how hard they try, will only get the parnassah that Hashem decrees. Yes, more stores are opening and so has more land been developed and more people to feed. If stores are losing business, it may be because there's another reason or maybe because the owner's davening is wanted by Hashem. No store has a monopoly in any area. I wish all hatzlacha and daven for everyone's success. People also shouldn't be stingy with their employees and be major donors for Honor. I'm not talking about any specific store. It's a general concept. It was noticeably on a separate paragraph. It appears to be two separate things lumped in one comment.
I find it very sad that a frustrated Jew thinks cursing is the answer to his pain. You don't know who anyone is on this site as most post anonymously. You also don't known anything about the lives of those posting. Maybe, the commenter is a true believer in Hashem and does own a store and makes less income and trusts Hashem. Maybe they also hire Jewish workers and pay well and don't seek publicity. The fact that someone can curse another Jew is so horrible. There is a concept that those that curse others will be cursed. The curse remains sadly yours. You need to watch your mouth so you can protect yourself. You clearly appear to be in financial pain yourself based on your comment here. I wish you only success. You should also be wishing others only success. It is better for you.

    5. Bingo and all the other jewish owned stores are in one business and one business only; that is to make a kiddush Hashem every single day. As long as they try and accomplish their tafkid, the borai olom will take care down to last penny.

  3. Panini menu looks nice but the pricing is more in line with Manhattan. $14 omelette?

  4. There is natural growth and there is artificial growth. In natural economic growth, services expand to cater to the needs as they present themselves. In artificially induced growth, the services provided might be exponentially beyond the needs, in anticipation of what they might be some time in the future. That is where the problem lies. At this rate, in 10 years, unless we are zoche to bias Moshiach bimheira, Lakewood will need many mega stores. As of now, they don't.

Regarding having Bitachon for parnassa - yes, H-shem provides everyone with what He sees fit. There are people who will be provided with less than they have seen in previous years; there are people who will be provided with more. But Bitachon is a Middda you have to have for yourself and family as individuals. As the Chazon Ish said - for yenem, you should be a Kofer and make sure to the best of your ability to take care of his needs and ensure that no avla is done to your fellow Jew.
