The Lakewood BOE is looking into 3rd party vendors to bus the public school children to school 3 years after it spent millions to purchase its own fleet.
Lakewood public schools pay $11 million to bus approx 5,700 kids to class (including special ed).
The private school LSTA spent $22 million last year to bus about 32,000 kids to school.
