Pedestrian Struck and killed on Cedarbridge Avenue in Lakewood

A pedestrian was struck a little after 7:30 this evening on Cedarbridge Boulevard near MLK in Lakewood. 
 Medics transported the patient in Traumatic arrest to Kimball hospital but was pronounced DOA. The area is not well lit and  a dangerous place to cross. Just a few months ago a pedestrian was struck and killed at the same location on Friday night. Lakewood Police said according to reports the driver initially fled but than came to the police station were they are investigating the accident.

  2. This is not a Lakewood driving issue its a pedestrian safety issue. People come and step into the roadway in middle of traffic expecting cars to stop while they are going 40 mph. the stores are not near the crosswalk so they just dart into the street.

    1. i agree...pple walk into the cars and give the drivers a look as if the driver is the bad one.
