S- enator Cory Booker of New Jersey says he will introduce a tax bill this week to significantly expand the standard deduction to $75,000 for married couples, or $37,500 for individuals. The current deduction is $32,200 for couples filing jointly and half that for single filers.Booker, who is up for re-election this year also said he is not ruling out a potential presidential bid in 2028. - A Pesach program in Guatemala has just been canceled, leaving hundreds of families scrambling to make alternative plans at the last minute. According to management they had sold out the entire Passover program, but the hotel breeched its contract and unexpectedly canceled on them

- Iran is now warning President Trump that global oil prices could surge to $200 per barrel if neighboring countries fail to "restrain" the United States. "If you can tolerate oil at more than $200 per barrel, continue this game!

- Lakewood school bus transportation budget has been misquoted with a fabricated story and shared across social media on X with a false claim that the lakewood school district is spending $48 million a year to bus just 449 students which comes out to roughly $107,000 per student compared to the statewide average in New Jersey of about $1,901 per student. This false information has spread while in truth Lakewood's $53 million transportation budget for 2024-25 serves about 54,500 students, including over 50,000 at private yeshivas, due to New Jersey laws requiring public districts to bus nonpublic students within 20 miles. 

- Confusion has been reported at the Western Wall as mispallelim say they are being prevented from entering despite official guidance from the Israel Police allowing up to 50 people at a time under Israel Home Front Command safety rules. Visitors say there is no clear system for entry, with access sometimes blocked entirely and other times allowed in small groups. The dispute centers on whether there is adequate shelter in case of missile alerts, with some suggesting the nearby Wilson’s Arch could provide protection.

  4. Entrance to the kosel is controlled by the western wall heritage foundation led by shmulik rabinowitz and they block all regular ehrliche yidden from coming and only let in VIPs who are irreligious! Control should be transferred to non-zionist frum yidden.

    2. Who is considered a "non-Zionist" you would approve to be in charge (as if you have any say-so)? Does someone who believes that Yidden have a right to unimpeded access to the Kosel and Yerushalayim and all areas of Eretz Yisroel meet your criteria?
