- Lakewood Police Department is investigating a shooting near Pearl Street and Route 88 that appears to have been an armed robbery. A 14-year-old boy was shot and taken to Kimball hospital with CPR in progress. He is reported to be in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released. Update the teen has died.

- The Austin, Texas shooter has been identified as 53-year-old immigrant from Senegal, Ndiaga Diagne, according to the New York Post.

  2. During the Yom Kippur war, Rav Chaim Shmulevitz, as related by Rav Chaim Walkin, thundered, “How can you sleep at night when our soldiers are at the front. How can you sleep when their mothers are up all night worrying”!
    I hope that, at least when he speaks to women he will mention the soldiers.

  3. It used to be obvious to show concern and appreciation for for the soldiers.
    Unfortunately, I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic, or genuine.
