Iran War Updates Thur March 5

- There are no immediate reports of injuries following the latest Iranian ballistic missile attack on central Israel, medics say. Missile fragments and submunitions from a cluster bomb warhead impacted in several areas, causing damage, One impact site in a central town sparked a fire.

- U.S. officials firmly deny reports that an American military aircraft was shot down over Basra, Iraq, following earlier unconfirmed claims and local reports of a possible incident.  

-The Iranians are now using cluster munitions on their missiles to inflict as much damage on the civilian population of Israel as possible. 

- IDF strikes in Dahieh, Beirut, have started IDF official said Dahieh will look different tomorrow in response to hezbollah rockets fired tonight into Israel 

- IDF officer in serious condition, another moderately wounded fighting Hezbollah in south Lebanon

- Reports of falling missile fragments near Ben Gurion Airport and Elad as munitions from a ballistic missile fell after it was intercepted.

- Sirens sounding in Yerushalayim interception  over Central israel

- Lalechet is organizing a special emergency flight from Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on Sunday, March 8, to JFK Airport in New York. The total price is $2,295. Travelers will depart by bus from Yerushalayim to the Egyptian border, where security personnel will meet them and escort them safely to the airport in Egypt. The flight includes a three-hour technical stop in Bucharest before arriving at JFK on Monday, March 9, at 1:25 PM. 

- Sirens sounded up north from incoming Hezbollah rockets while missiles were also detected from Iran. No reports of injuries as they fell in open spaces or were intercepted

- IDF official told Bloomberg: We are working to ensure that armed Kurds feel secure enough to eventually rise up against the regime in Tehran.  The IDF is currently working to pave the way for Kurdish forces to take positions in northwestern Iran, doing so through airstrikes against the Iranian army and law enforcement forces near northern Iraq.

- According to Israeli intelligence, there are signs that Iranian soldiers, police agents, and IRGC members are refusing to report for duty. Early signs of desertion. Reported by The Economist

- Iran attacks Oil refineries in Dubai and Bahrain 

- Ben Gurion Airport opened to limited civilian flights on Thursday as the first arriving flights began to bring home the tens of thousands of Israelis stranded abroad landed.

 - Departing flights to resume on Sunday

Only 50 passengers will be allowed to board each plane departing from Israel.
Sending checked baggage to the plane’s cargo hold will not be permitted.
Passengers will be required to complete early check-in for the flight; arrival at Ben Gurion Airport should be one and a half hours before departure.
Accompanying persons will not be allowed to enter the terminal.

- Millions of Israelis were in and out of bomb shelters overnight as Iran keeps firing missiles toward Israel.  No report of injuries.

- Revolutionary Guards: Today we attacked Ben Gurion Airport with a "Khormoshar 4" missile with a warhead weighing a ton

- Spain is sending a warship to protect Cyprus, Italy also announced it will send "maritime assets" there. France approved the US to use its bases to attack Iran.

  1. The state dept is not offering any information on travel at this time. They only can tell you that the crossing to egypt is an option.
