- A child was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Friday night around 8:30 PM on Hope Chapel Road and Hope Hill rd in Lakewood. The driver fled the scene, but police later identified and arrested a 35 year old Jackson Jackson resident driving a Hyundai Elantra Jose Perez Parada.
The victim, Daniel Shmuel ben Shifra, was taken to Jersey Shore Univers3ity Medical Center and is in critical but stable condition.

Mayor Mamdani came under criticism when he called out the JDL but has not called out Islamic terror in the city he tweeted: "A member of an offshoot of the Jewish Defense League — designated by the FBI as a "known violent extremist organization" — was allegedly building explosive devices to target the home of Nerdeen Kiswani in a chilling act of political violence. The defendant reportedly planned to flee to Israel following the attack.

- In his Shabbos Hagadol address Thursday night in Dushinsky B"M in Yerushalayim, Rav Moshe Sternbuch warned that the greatest threat to Klal Yisroel is not external enemies like Iran, but internal spiritual decline and government actions affecting Torah life. He stressed that חילול שבת and weakening Torah learning bring danger upon the Jewish people more than physical attacks.
Quoting the Chazon Ish, he emphasized fear of spiritual deterioration over warfare. He strongly criticized efforts to draft yeshiva students and policies harming yeshivos, calling Torah learning especially of children the foundation sustaining the world.
