- Giyus: After years in which the gezeiras giyus and the arrests of yeshiva bochurim received little or no coverage in the U.S. frum newspapers, those publications have begun⁰ reporting on these developments over the past few weeks. - A coalition of Roshei Yeshiva has introduced new summer camp standards aimed at strengthening the Torah atmosphere. The guidelines include a ban on cell phones for 9th–11th graders, a zero-tolerance alcohol policy for campers and staff, and stricter standards for camp programming, trips, and entertainment. Participating camps have agreed to follow the guidelines, and yeshivos may discourage attendance at camps that do not comply
Maintain a true Torah atmosphere: Programming, trips, concerts, and kumzitzes should reflect Torah values. Destinations should be carefully vetted, performers and music should meet high standards of ruchniyus, and disco or colored lights are prohibited.

- Crust Co. Pizza in West long  Branch now under JSOR hashgacha

- Thousands of residents across Lakewood were left without power over Shabbos after a record-breaking heat wave placed heavy demand on the electrical grid and powerful storm winds knocked out electricity just as Shabbos began. Many families spent most of Shabbos without power and were unable to prepare in advance or enjoy hot meals. While some remained in their homes despite the difficult conditions, others were welcomed by neighbors and relatives with electricity for meals and sleeping accommodations. Because the outages occurred with little warning shortly before Shabbos, many families had no opportunity to make alternative arrangements in advance

  1. Noone is trying to bring communism to America. the democrats are advocating for socialism which is the model of all the western European countries, Sweden, France etc.
    Here is something from Google-
Zohran Mamdani explicitly identifies as a democratic socialist, not a communist. While some of his political critics have labeled him a communist, Mamdani—the Mayor of New York City and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America—supports achieving economic equality through democratic elections and reforms rather than state control of all industries or the abolition of private property. His specific political positions include:Affordability: Advocating for rent freezes, rent regulation, and the expansion of free public services.Wealth Redistribution: Pushing for higher taxes on the wealthiest individuals and corporations to fund social programs.Public Services: Supporting universal childcare, free bus services, and a higher minimum wage.

    1. Mayor Mandami wants to condemn residential property by assessing excessive taxes, and regulations and then ruining it like the city does with anything else the city owns or operates.
      Classic communism

  3. For too many years, we allowed this town to be run into the ground by the same people. There is an aura of fear around challenging them, and people are afraid to come out and run against the current administration.

But the truth is, they would fold like a paper tiger if someone capable started a real campaign. The המון עם would back that person in a second.

It’s time to get past the fear, put up a real candidate, and try to save what’s left of this town.

  13. The obligation we have to tell the difference between a false prophet and a real prophet, even when the false prophet was a real prophet who performed miracles, and then went rogue. It’s a tremendous responsibility, one that clearly emerges from the navi and Chazal. It completely blows the Da’as Torahniks, the Chassidim who just follow the Rebbe, and the pseudo-rational Jews following their phony rabbis and corrupt “experts”, out of the water.

How even though no sensible person would believe any of that, and so much more, if a holy rabbi ruled in favor of it, and performed a miracle as proof, the average person would be swayed. Nevertheless, the Torah fully expects us not to be swayed, even by that!

If people learned Tanach properly they wouldn’t. But they don’t, and they never internalize the lessons, so they are easy pickins for the liars of today, who aren’t nearly as impressive and convincing as the false prophets of old.

Maybe that has something to do with why Tanach was eliminated from our yeshiva curriculum, the cover story became the accepted explanation, and now it’s become a “tradition”. So people will be easy pickins.
