- New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill drew criticism after blaming President Trump for the deaths of three American servicemembers in the Iran conflict. Critics accused her of politicizing the tragedy, while some also renewed scrutiny of her Naval Academy disciplinary record and criticized her on immigration policy asking how many deaths were committed by Illegals in New Jersey.

- President Trump imposes 50% tariff on a range of Canadian goods, claiming unfair treatment over U.S. autos, alcohol and cheese.

- Giyus: Gur Chassidim, joined by the Gerrer Rebbe, held a protest Monday night outside Military Prison 10 over the arrest of draft evaders. Clashes broke out with police after some protesters pushed toward the entrance of the prison's outer fence.

Another group of chasidim went to Tel Aviv and held a protest outside the home of the Attorney general who has enforced the arrests. 

In Yerushalayim protests broke out along the light rail  tracks.

- New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill signed a bill today that prohibits landlords from using algorithms to coordinate rental prices, making New Jersey the fourth state in the country to ban such practices. The bill takes effect in 12 months. (Onejerseyschorr)

-Tragedy in Yerushalayim one person died when a Porch balcony collapsed in yerushalayim's Rechavia neighborhood on KKL street injuring 4 while Emergency responders working to extract unconscious man trapped under collapsed who was later pronounced dead. He was 80 years old.

- Enrollment in New Jersey public schools for the current school year fell to the lowest levels recorded in almost a quarter-century, diving past pandemic lows to reach depths not seen since the 2001-2002 school year. According to figures recently released by the state Department of Education, public school enrollment declined by 23,732 students in the 2025-2026 school year to about 1.4 million, the lowest level drop that appeared driven mostly by falling birth rates. - A major reversal in the nationwide lettuce investigation: The FDA now says a Taylor Farms sample that initially tested positive for Cyclospora was actually a false positive.

After laboratory experts re-reviewed the result, the agency says there are currently no confirmed positive product samples. But the recall remains in effect as officials continue investigating an outbreak that has sickened more than 1,600 people across five states.
