Petirah of Harav Yehoshua Max זצ"ל, who was niftar at the age of 44 following an illness from the dreaded machalah, רח"ל.
Reb Yehoshua was a distinguished talmid chacham a Gaon and Baki in all Sugyos and served as the Rosh Kollel of Kollel Zichron Yehoram, which was established in memory of his father, Reb Yehoram Max ז"ל. He was a talmid of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin and maintained a close relationship with the Rosh HaYeshiva, Harav Aharon Schechter זצ"ל. He was his chavrusah and he prepared the shiurim with the Rosh Yeshiva.
He devoted his life to Torah and Avodah despite enduring yesurim from the illness.
He leaves behind his wife (nee Spero) and 10 yesomim, ranging in age from just 2 to 19 years old. The family resides in the Ridge area of Lakewood he was a mispalel at B"M sharei Orah

A short levayah will take place today in Lakewood at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel on Seventh Street. The aron will then be taken to Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn for an additional levayah, followed by kevurah at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, Long Island.
