N.J. weather: ‘Significant’ thunderstorms with flooding, dangerous winds, tornado threat in Monday forecasts 

- In the three years since the U.S. Supreme Court Bruen decision,  92,417 New Jersey residents were approved for a permit to carry a handgun, according to data from the Attorney Generals office.

In the three years prior to the decision, which limited the state’s ability to deny such applications, a total of 1,548 applications were approved.

Toms River (population: 95,000) leads the state with 1,738 applications approved, or 180 per every 10,000 residents.

Newark, the state's most populous city (population 311,000), is right behind with 1,717 permits approved - but only 55 per every 10,000 residents.

Initially, when he first ran for Assembly, the Moetzes ruled that he could not retain his position as the New Jersey Director of Agudas Yisroel. However, with the ethics committee’s approval now in place, he is allowed to move forward with his new role without any conflicts
