Iran War Updates Tues March 10

- Trump: If Iran has put out any mines in the Hormuz Strait, and we have no reports of them doing so, we want them removed, IMMEDIATELY! If for any reason mines were placed, and they are not removed forthwith, the Military consequences to Iran will be at a level never seen before. If, on the other hand, they remove what may have been placed, it will be a giant step in the right direction! President DONALD J. TRUMP

- President Trump says the US "completely destroyed" 10 Iranian mine-laying boats and ships, in the past few hours. Iran has refused his direction to remove the mines they laid in the Strait of Hormuz

- Going around on social media not confirmed: A mother of a participant in the Grey Bull Rescue Mission says an evacuation of more than 200 people from Israel turned into a frightening ordeal. Families were initially told the mission was a non-profit rescue during the airspace closures, but after reaching Jordan, participants were reportedly told to raise $1 million within 24 hours for the journey to continue. The group remained stranded in Jordan for four days with limited kosher food until a participant contacted parents with U.S. State Department connections, after which a plane was arranged from Jordan to Washington. The mother described the experience as traumatizing and warned parents to be cautious about similar rescue efforts.

- U.S. intelligence has detected signs that Iran may be preparing to deploy naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz shipping corridor, according to CBS News. Officials say Iranian forces are using small boats capable of carrying two to three mines each. Estimates suggest Iran possesses between roughly 2,000 and 6,000 naval mines, including Iranian, Chinese, and Russian-made models.

- Iranian Revolutionary Guards Claim Missile Strikes at Bnei Brak

The IRGC says its latest salvo targeted U.S. sites in Bahrain and the UAE and, unusually, “hidden missile launchers in Bnei Brak.” Reported by Roy Kais of Kan 11 news, this was part of their 34th missile salvo in the conflict

-Windows shattered today in Beit Shemesh due to a impact from a rocket that fell near residential buildings.

- The Ministry of Education has issued an official order closing the Ponevezh Yeshiva High School on 5 Rechov Meltzer in Bnei Brak  after the ministry's Enforcement Department found that it was operating in violation of the emergency guidelines.

- Dashcam footage shows a Hezbollah missile hitting a satellite station near Beit Shemesh yesterday. The IDF reported that an “isolated failure” prevented both interception and sirens.

Hezbollah claimed the target was a military cyber site, but it is actually a civilian-commercial facility operated by SES. The Beit Shemesh area has been heavily targeted, reportedly due to several alleged secret military bases in the surrounding region.

-Wizz Air announced the suspension of all its flights to and from Israel until March 29.

- About half of Iran’s ballistic missiles fired at Israel in the war carried cluster warheads, the IDF says. The warheads “indiscriminately spread dozens of submunitions with several kilograms of explosives over a radius of around 10 kilometers.” 

Israeli defenses have intercepted many missiles, but military officials stress they are “not hermetic.” Iran’s strikes have targeted population centers, military sites, and key infrastructure, often launching only one or a few missiles at a time, suggesting difficulties in mounting larger, coordinated barrages.

- Iranian opposition media have announced the elimination of Asadollah Badfar, one of the main commanders of the Basij.

- President Donald Trump has conveyed a message to Arab countries that have been harmed by Iran that he expects them to join the war against it. This was learned by Israel Hayom from a source familiar with the details.

-Rocket Interceptions over Bet Shemesh some fragments fell in open areas no reports of injuries

- “One missile is enough to wipe it out.” according to various reports, Kim Jong Un reportedly declared over the weekend, while offering Iran North Korean missiles for use against Israel.

- British Airways cancels all flights to and from Abu Dhabi until later this year, and all flights to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv until later this month  

- Israel Airports Authority: 60% of Israelis who were abroad on the eve of the war have returned to Israel As part of Operation “Wings of the Lion”, between 5–9 March 2026, 177 flights landed at Ben Gurion Airport, bringing back around 32,000 passengers. Today, approximately 40 additional arrivals are expected, with about 7,000 more passengers landing

- US War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that today will be the most intense day of strikes against Iran in the war so far.

-Airlines booked up as thousands scramble to get on flights leaving the country to nearby destinations  such as Athens, Larnaca, Rome and other European cities for connecting flights to the US 

- Two Iranian missile salvos on Israel so far today 

- Iranian FM says missiles will continue, rules out talks with the US 

- There are no reports of direct impacts or injuries in the latest Iranian ballistic missile attack on Israel, the second today.

Sirens had sounded across northern Israel and parts of the center.

- PM Netanyahu: End of Iran’s regime depends on Iranian people’s will to ‘throw off the yoke of tyranny’

- Israeli government says the special situation in the home front will be extended by about two weeks.

- President Donald Trump said Monday that the war against Iran could end shortly, though not this week, but he left open the possibility of an escalation in fighting if global oil supplies are disrupted by the Islamic Republic under its newly chosen, hard-line supreme leader.

Reuters, citing a source familiar with Israel’s war plans: “The IDF is trying to inflict as much damage as possible before the window for strikes closes.” Residents of Tehran described last night’s attacks on the capital to the news agency as the most intense in the war. “It was like hell. They bombed every part of Tehran.”
