- Thousands of Iraqi Kurds have launched a ground offensive in Iran, a US official told Fox News

- Kurdish forces in Iraq have launched a ground military offensive into Iran against the Islamic regime, an Iranian Kurdish official tells i24NEWS. According to the official, thousands of Kurdish fighters began taking combat positions inside Iranian territory on Monday.

-Two people were injured in the concurrent Iranian ballistic missile fire and Hezbollah rocket barrage on central Israel earlier, medics say. According to Magen David Adom, a man in his 30s was hurt by shrapnel, and another person was wounded by a blast. Both are listed in good condition, MDA says.

- Several sirens sounded today in Yerushalayim  and other areas but were all intercepted  prior to entering the airspace. Some fragments fell in the Binyamin region near the town of Charsa.

- An  Israeli Air Force F-35I fighter jet shot down a Russian-made Iranian Yak-130 jet over Tehran a short while ago, the IDF says. It marks the first-ever downing of a manned aircraft by an F-35.

- Israel has reported that "On Saturday, 90 ballistic missiles were fired at Israel. Today, just 20.

- Dept of state: Multiple U.S. embassies had said they are unable to help citizens trying to leave but the State Department on Tuesday sent out a new alert for Americans in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, saying, "The U.S. government is ready to help Americans return home safely from the Middle East if you choose to take advantage of the options available.”

In the past several days, over 9,000 American citizens have safely returned from the Middle East, including over 300 from Israel.”

 A US State Department official told The Times of Israel on Tuesday that it was in direct contact with nearly 500 American citizens to help evacuate them out of Israel.

“Hundreds of American citizens have left Israel since the start of the conflict. Over the last few days, the State Department has assisted over 130 American citizens depart Israel, with an additional 100 American citizens expected to depart today,” the official said in a statement.

American citizens needing assistance should call +1-202-501-4444 and register in the State Department Smart Traveler Enrollment Program for updates, the department said
