Iran Israel Updates Sunday September

- Ali Abdullahi, commander of the Iranian armed forces: "The expectation of the United States that Iran will surrender is an illusion that will never come true."

- Hezbollah fired drones at Israeli soldiers. Israel responded with fire. The IDF describes the coming days as “particularly sensitive,” partly due to the operation in the Beaufort area and the fact that Hezbollah and, to a certain extent, Iran as well have threatened to respond to the advance of ground forces beneath the Ali Taher Ridge.

- IDF Chief Warns of Tense Period During Surprise Drill: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a General Staff assessment as part of the surprise exercise “Dawn 2.0,” which began this morning. Zamir said the situation across all arenas is tense and volatile, stressing that the IDF is preparing for the upcoming holidays and maintaining readiness for a surprise attack.

- Israel Security Council issued a warning to Israelis traveling abroad: Iran’s Quds Force and Hamas abroad will intensify efforts to harm Israelis during the holiday period in countries around the world

New York Times report: Iran has gained confidence in its ability to strike targets in the Middle East and appears determined to continue the confrontation for months to frustrate the United States, according to recent US intelligence reports.

- U.S. forces have destroyed three Iranian oil tankers after Iran attempted to fire ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy warships, according to CENTCOM. An aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer were targeted but not hit.
No Americans were injured.

CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper: “Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost  taking out three of yours.”

- US Central Command: Thanks to the precision and professionalism of US service members, the oil tanker M/T Kylo sank today in the Gulf of Oman and joined the Iranian fleet on the seabed.

- NYP: “The Islamic Republic is allegedly plotting to repeat Hamas’ barbaric Oct. 7 attacks  which saw more Jews killed in a single day than any time since the Holocaust but this time with full coordination of their sprawling terrorist network, which includes Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officials have sought to revitalize its “Axis of Resistance” terrorist network and have held multiple planning meetings with leaders from Hezbollah, the Houthis and Iraqi militias about an escalation against Israel, the outlet reported.”
