Israel on high alert as Ali Taher Ridge operation nears end amid fears of Iranian response. IDF says Hezbollah’s main underground complex has been cleared and work continues to neutralize tunnels and remaining infrastructure.
- Sky News: "President Trump's advisors are pressing him in recent hours to resume the war with Iran at an exceptionally high intensity and in an immediate manner in order to launch a new and powerful campaign ahead of the midterm elections."
- Report: Iran resumes ballistic missile production at underground sites despite heavy wartime damage. The Wall Street Journal reports Tehran is assembling new missiles from stockpiled parts at sites including Khojir, despite heavy US bombings.
- IDF on the destruction of the Ali Taar ridge: "Hezbollah failed and abandoned its men to die inside. Terrorists who tried to abandon the route or to supply the terrorists besieged in it were eliminated. Some of the terrorists who tried to flee were eliminated in close-quarters combat when they encountered ambushes by our forces.
IDF used more than 1,100 tons of explosives to destroy the tunnels. Each ridge in Al-Tahar had 8 tunnels totaling 5.4 km in length, and dozens of drones, UAVs, and rockets were found inside them
- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
President Trump announced tonight that Iran is attempting to rearm with nuclear weapons, and this is correct. After we destroyed its immediate capability to produce nuclear bombs, both in Operation Iron Swords and in Operation Rising Lion, they are trying again. I commit to you here, at the Western Wall, ahead of Rosh Hashanah: As long as I am Prime Minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons. In parallel, we are striking the Iranian axis, not only very hard in the Gaza Strip, but also in Lebanon. We destroyed the Boufort Ridge and are now dealing with the Ali Taar Ridge.
- IDF eliminated a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated Israel on 10/7 and participated in the killing of the IDF commander of the Nahal Brigade, Colonel Jonathan Steinberg, ZL
- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz in a joint statement: "The IDF has now destroyed the underground infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Ali Taher Ridge, thus completing the organization of the security zone in southern Lebanon"
- Over 100 U.S. military advisers are on Saudi soil, feeding intelligence and targets to Saudi forces in the operation against the Houthis. The U.S. is providing geospatial targeting and a tool that lets officers track the battlefield in real time, but is not joining strikes or refueling. American officials now believe hundreds of Revolutionary Guards officers are inside Yemen. One assesses the Iranian officers are working with the Houthis to eventually close the Bab al-Mandab strait, a move described as Tehran's "doomsday weapon" if talks with the U.S. collapse
