A 3 year old child was struck and killed R"L this evening in the Catskills. Shmuel Gelis Z”L, son of R' Moshe and Batsheva from Toms River, NJ, was struck by an ice cream truck and went into cardiac arrest. The accident took place at Birchwood Estates, in Monticello, NY.
Matzav.com reports Catskills Hatzolah were quickly called to the scene and made attempts at resuscitation. The victim was later transferred to Catskill Regional Medical Center where he was nifter r”l a short while later.
