Dr. Roberts "Please Do not Endanger others by Bringing Someone who is not Immunized" to The Pesach Carnival

 Matzav
This Chol Hamoed, as in years past, Kollel Ner Avrohom and Dr. Casriel Roberts will sponsor a Pesach carnival for the Lakewood, NJ, community. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 4th, at the Lakewood Cheder’s Vassar Avenue campus. Details of the event are provided at the KNA website.

An important note included in the publicity about the event is a statement released by Dr. Roberts and the organizers: “The event organizers ask that attendees not endanger others by bringing someone who is not immunized.”

There is a small, misguided minority of people who are against immunizing. This statement has been made to ensure that those who do not vaccinate do not put other people in danger.

    1. what age group is he talking about? Many adults are not up to date. Did Dr. Roberts himself get a flu shot? But it is his private party, and he can invite whoever he wants. I guess when he marries off his kids, he will write on the invitation that "you are only invited if you are fully vaccinated."

  2. This s a typo he meant to say dont bring anyone who is not circumcised, not not immunized as the pasuk says about the korbon Pesach וְכָל-עָרֵל, לֹא-יֹאכַל בּוֹ

    1. You don't need to trust him, just don't be a chazer and enjoy the things he's paying for while besmirching him and impugning his motives

    2. Who said anything about enjoying what he pays for? not everyone goes to the event its a private event and he can make his own rules beyond that parents have every right to not vaccinate.

  5. There are two separate issues
    1) vaccination
    2) vaccinating too early

Many such as myself who are proponents of vaccinating still have basis to claim that the system vaccinates too young and early

    2. Ah. Really, then? Dear explain on what basis you have to say that "the system" vaccinates too early, and you know that you have to vaccinate later? Did you conduct studies? Did you go to medical school?

    3. 1) my grandfather was a biochemist who worked in pharmaceutical research for some years

      2) R' Shmuel Kamenetzky is a proponent of vaccination, yet also believes they're too early and too young as per his daughter in law

Is that enough for ya 'll?!

  6. I was a yungerman learning in BMG a few years ago who was present at the bmg annual evening of chizuk(tent event) when rich eoberts got up in front of 5000 ppl. And was mevazer brabim every bnei torah in the world. Its beyond me how ppl. Can go take from him and attend this event. Are we so frugal that we will sell our souls for a free cotton candy? Shouldn't we have higher standards? Just because someone gives out money doesn't give a right to degrade chusuva bnei torah....
