After Petition by Youngeleit, Township Installs 4 way Stop Sign at Intersection

The intersection of 9th Street and Lexington Avenue in Lakewood has seen many accidents prompting Kollel guys from BMG to sign a Petition asking the town to install a 4 way stop sign. An Ordnance was introduced on February, 8th this week it was finally established, hopefully bringing traffic improvements to the area.

To the Township Committee Members, Lakewood Police Department, Township Manager, and Rabbi Aaron Kotler: We have seen many accidents occur at the intersection of 9th St and Lexington Ave. The township installed a four way stop sign on the corner of Monmouth Ave and 9th St which drastically reduced the number of accidents. We kindly request you do the same for the intersection of 9th St and Lexington Ave. It is one of the main routes to Bais Shalom and has heavy traffic and accidents occurring there on a weekly basis. Attached you will find petitions from Beis Shalom, 9th St. Shul and 801 Lexington Avenue.
