Lakewood Public School Parents go to Trenton after frustration with BOE officials

After not having a chance to talk at the last two BOE meetings a group of 60 parents went to Trenton on Friday hoping to share their plight with state officials. APP reports The group of parents say they "want to expose the abuse of power and the irregularities happening in our schools, "They're not doing their job, and our children don't have teachers and are missing the opportunity of a quality education."  read more here

  1. So illegal non-taxpaying immigrants are now breaking demands from us? They should be thankful fir what they do get.

  2. Ask Morales for her green card. She maybe upset that she doesn’t feel represented and I am upset that she isn’t here legally. She openly advertises that she is an undocumented worker. Why do my taxes go to support her and her family ?

  3. Good. If they are protesting and claiming they aren't getting their rights, we should stop all township payments to them and let them fight Trenton for more money. Why did the township just give them $2.5 million of my money if they are not happy anyway

  4. Just because they are illegals is not a reason to treat them like animals.
They showed up twice at the BOE meetings.
Both were canceled. What do you want them to do ?
So they went to Trenton to plead their case .
They are doing what they can to represent themselves.

    1. Unless I misread the article, they are placing the blame at the wrong place. It is not private school parents that create problems with the Lakewood Public Schools. It is the state fundone formula.

The fact that so many of the public school children are ESL students, only compounds the problem.

The fact is private school parents get $1k max per child for bussing, and not all children have bussing. ESL students cost the district $18k PER STUDENT.

Yet the vast majority of taxes are being paid by private school parents. It can be infuriating taking the blame for educational shortfalls when your tax dollars are actually funding the education of those doing the complaining.

  6. You think you're going to keep the good terms when you go against Hashem??☝️

Meaning when the Lakewood Township Representatives had the opportunity to be the heroes of New Jersey & to ban so called lgbtq studies from Lakewood Public Schools which I spoke about by the committee meetings,

They were worried about keeping the peace so they didn't do it,
Now Hashem is showing them you think the unpeacefulness comes from not doing רצון השם, on the contrary when you don't do רצון השם then you are equivalently & more tackled,

I find it amazing that God made it come out precisely NOW this uproar,
To show my point precisely when the mayor of Barnegat New Jersey had a bigger זכות than our Representatives in Lakewood NJ to be the נחשון בן עמינדב & Ban Shmutz From the schools in his town,
I am ashamed of my representatives in Lakewood that they weren't the heroes & Stand up against Uncle Murphy.
