House of Bracha is new house/program in Lakewood, for single girls 18 years or older, who for whatever reason, are unable to live in their family home. HOB offers a safe, healthy, non-judgmental, Frum environment, with a unique balance of independence and support that attracts girls from Lakewood and across the country, usually with little or no means of support. We have programs that work with the girls to build their self confidence, complete their education and help them find jobs.
HOB was founded by Abraham and Sheva Danziger, who work in conjunction with Mrs Shoshana Benoliel, LCSW, Medical and Program Coordinator, and with the guidance of HaRav Shlomo Gissinger Shlita. We are looking to raise funds to help offset the startup costs of the house, including renovations, appliances, utilities and basic operating expenses. All proceeds go toward the house as everyone involved with HOB are volunteering their time and take no salary for their service.
A bracha? For whom? for loving parents whose kids are alianated or separated from their family?
ReplyDeleteSome of these girls have no home because of our very own doing. Focus should be to prevent this from happening in the first place.
Prevention is great, but that doesn't take away the need for something like this
DeleteAre there any rabbis backing this project? or are there just young "mechanchim"?
ReplyDeleteStrange question as the information is in the article. The founding couple are neither "young" in the regular sense nor are they "mechanchim" in the regular sense. They are simply people who's hearts are open to the needs of others and through their open hearts and open home they saw a need and are trying to fill it for no personal gain. As far as Rabbis, that's also in the article.
