I have heard from a number of people that The Center is truly a great organization, and one of the Jewels of Lakewood. That is what makes it even more essential that they should PLEASE MOVE THE EVENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
ReplyDeleteThey have people parked on both sides of Prospect Street for blocks in a row. Cross street is not meant for this, you have people walking in the street in the dark all over the place, the crossing guards are only in front of the event, and although they mean well, some are not very good at it (not blaming them, they volunteer and give up of their time, but apparently not everyone can be a crossing guard).
Please, before something terrible happens, move the event to a place that can accommodate the crowd without the danger. As the event grows in popularity, and Prospect Street grows with traffic, the danger will only increase.
If anyone involved see this, please take this to heart and change the venue, before something terrible happens.
