Jackson Council Condemns Religious Hate

The Mayor of Jackson and Council President  Rob Nixon condemned religious hate, bigotry, stereotyping, scapegoating and an ‘us vs. them’ mentality (see video below). They stressed it is wrong to use children in videos & said it is not what we are about. They stopped short of passing a formal resolution denouncing Rise Up Ocean County. They read a statement "The mayor and council took an oath to defend the Constitution and that includes the right to free speech. At the same time, we do not endorse and are not responsible for the content of the press and social media." APP reports. Mordechai Burnstein, a California Avenue resident said  “I don’t consider the Orthodox community new anymore. I’ve been here almost four years. We are a part and parcel of this community and we’re not going anywhere,“We want to be united. We want the community to work, but we have groups that are seeking to divide and legitimize it.” see video below courtesy of Greaterlakewood.com

  1. Did anyone condemn the VAAD for calling innocent lakewood yiddin as BAD APPLES!

Where was the VAAD and other elected officials when parents were dragged out if their homes at 6 in the morning in front of their children paraded in the streets and broadcast for the world to see. Not only were they silent but they assumed the parties guilty and spoke harshly against innocent people.

Now they speak up when the spotlight us shinning
