At approximately 8:40 pm, Officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the BP Gas Station located at 1255 River Avenue.Upon arrival, Officers learned that an unidentified black male armed with a hand gun, rushed the attendant who was inside the kiosk.
During the encounter the suspect took approximately
$395.00 before leaving the area on foot.
He is described as a black male, approximately 6'00" tall wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt, blue jeans and shiny black and white sneakers.
Assisting in the investigation is the Ocean County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit as well as the Crime Scene Investigations Unit.
