Lakewood schools sending kids home for not vaccinating

Hamodia reports: Several chadarim and girls’ schools changed their policy and agreed to eliminate all un-immunized students after several dozen teachers refused to return to work unless that step was taken. “Based on Dr. [Reuven] Shanik’s advice and the demand from most of the tzibbur, a lot of schools are sending home kids who didn’t get the vaccine,” said a spokesman for Igud haMosdos. “A lot of schools have kids with medical conditions and they have to do what they have to, to protect them.  read more at Hamodia

  1. "A lot of schools have kids with medical conditions..."

Could it be because of the jabbing of toxins into them through vaccinations??

    1. Medical conditions existed long before vaccines. If ones child has a medical condition, and they blame it on a vaccine, they have serious deficiencies in Emunah and Bitachon.

  2. That’s Illegal ! It’s legal in New Jersey to not vaccinate, if you sign a waver . I hope the non vaccers have the courage to sue the School Owners !!

    1. I'm trying to follow your logical arguement here bUT i need some help. It's legal to not vaccinate, therefore the school can't send them home? The school can only exclude people who engage in illegal activities? The schools send kids home for wearing the wrong color shoes even though that's not illegal. What exactly would be the basis of the lawsuit that you're hoping for?

    2. Right. So two things can both be true:
1 - It is legal to not vaccinate your kids.
2 - Private schools are under no legal obligation to keep your unvaccinated kids in school (just like they are under no obligation to keep your red sneaker wearing kids in school).

The anti vax position in the matter is really perplexing. Putting aside the question of their halachic right to not vaccinate their kids, in the United States they certainly have a legal right. But why do they think they then have a legal right to dictate how everyone else has to relate to them? The idea that I have a right to demand no consequences to my choices is a new age selfish idea and is not how things work in the real world.

    3. -The Ocean County Health Department continues to support and highly encourage the exclusion
of non-vaccinated children from schools, preschools and daycares in the outbreak area. These
entities have the authority to make that decision when an outbreak has been declared by the
      New Jersey Department of Health

  3. These are private schools so they might be under different laws
