-WHCD Shooting suspect Cole Allen has been charged with attempting to kill the President of the United States and could face life in prison if convicted.

- The Lakewood School District says it may have to lay off 162 teachers’ aides as it grapples with major financial pressures and a proposed state takeover. District officials said paraprofessional benefits currently cost nearly $6.4 million annually.The existing contract with teachers’ aides expires June 30. As part of upcoming negotiations, the district said it will explore staffing changes aimed at maintaining services while reducing long-term benefit costs. Options under consideration include shorter work weeks, eliminating eligibility for health benefits, and outsourcing paraprofessional services, officials said.

New Jersey spent more than $1.23 billion on preschool programs during the 2024-25 school year, an increase of more than $100 million from the year before, a new report from the National Institute of Early Education Research found. That’s $18,848 per student.
Statewide, more than 65,000 3- and 4-year-olds are enrolled in a public preschool program in New Jersey.

  3. The blood drive is seemingly not being promoted by the Bikur Cholim. It's important to note that donating blood to a blood bank has ramifications in Halacah and one would be best advised to ask their posek. Pashkvillen or proclamations are not reliable.
