HaRav Moshe Sternbuch Visits Lakewood with a personal Message from The Brisker Rosh yeshiva

The Raavad of The Eidah hacharedis of Yerushalayim  Harav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita who is currently in the US will come to Lakewood this afternoon. At 1:00 pm he will deliver a shiur in BMG in the sugyah of הוצאה followed by divrei Hisoirerus on current events. A Kabolas panim will take place at 2:00 pm on 9th street at Lexington avenue by Yeshivas Haramah. The Yeshiva is named after Harav M<oshe Schneider ztl from England were Rav Sternbuch learned as a talmid in his youth.

  Prior to leaving Eretz Yisrael he met with his Brother in Law Harav Dovid Soleveitchick Shlita R"Y of Brisk who implored  him to  speak out to American Jewry  and Lakewood in particular about the gezeiros in Eretz Yisrael. He asked him to speak to the Lakewood Roshei yeshiva and ask why in America there is utter silence. Hebrew transcript of the conversation Below

 הגרמ"ד שליט"א: ר' משה תהפכו את העולם, תרעישו את העולם. תדברו עם ר' מלכיאל ועם הראשי ישיבות שם מדוע הם שותקים. ואני מבקש שבדרשה שלכם בליקווד לא תאמרו רק פלפולי תורה. תאמרו להם גם שיש גזירת שמד, תשאלו אותם מדוע אתם שותקים?  

 הראב"ד שליט"א: שמע ישראל, יש לו שני פירושים, ביאור אחד, לשמוע, ועוד ביאור לקבל, הם צריכים לא רק לשמוע אלא גם לקבל.

 הגרמ"ד שליט"א: אסור לשתוק. אנחנו חיים בגלות מרה מאוד, בגלות של יהודים.


 הראב"ד שליט"א: בפסוק בתהלים "מאין יבוא עזרי", רק כשנבוא להכרה שהמצב הוא "מאין", אז יבוא עזרי, אבל כל זמן שנסמוך על אחרים שיושיעו אותנו, הקב"ה לא יושיע אותנו.  

 הגרמ"ד שליט"א: המצב נורא ואיום.


הראב"ד שליט"א: בספרים מבואר ששלש שעות לפני ביאת משיח יהיה יצר הרע חזק מאוד של כפירה ורק יחידים יינצלו, וזהו הושע נא שלש שעות.

הגרמ"ד שליט"א: המצב מר, אני מפחד לדבר מה יהיה לפני משיח. הנה אנוכי שולח לכם את אליהו הנביא פן אבוא והכתי את הארץ חרם. משמע שיהיה מצב ש"והכתי את הארץ חרם", רחמנא ליצלן, הקב"ה ירחם עלינו וישלח לנו את אליהו הנביא.

הראב"ד שליט"א: אני לא יעכב אתכם

הגרמ"ד שליט"א: צריך להפוך את העולם.

הראב"ד שליט"א: אל תטרחו ללוות, תשארו כאן.

    i'm sure they did not speak in Ivrit. why is the transcript not the actual words they said (in Yiddish)?

    There is silence because other gedolim do not agree with this and we don't want to import the machlokes that is ripping apart Erets Yisroel. Literally, families cannot do a shidduch wioth one side if they have already done a shidduch with the other side! Why is there silence about that! That is more like the Navi's proclamation that Eliyahu needs to come before....
