A potential nor'easter threatens the New Jersey coast with rain, coastal flooding strong winds and potential serious tidal flooding to the Jersey Shore on Friday, according to the National Weather Service. There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather. One to two inches of rain is anticipated later Thursday into Friday, mainly over northeast and central coastal New Jersey. This may result in localized poor drainage flooding. It
probably will result in significant rises for a few small streams, especially those that empty into the Atlantic ocean since astronomically high tide cycles may alter normal river drainage. Trends for this situation should be monitored in future forecasts this coming week in conjunction with the development of a powerful late winter storm along the mid Atlantic coast. Coastal flooding is expected for multiple successive high tide cycles, beginning late Thursday into Sunday morning.
Rumor has it that Reb Nosson Vachtfogel fasted 40 fasts that it should always rain in Lakewood on Purim to prevent pritzus. Check yourselves, it always rains a little on Purim
