It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of R’ Yoel Blumenthal z”l of Lakewood. He was 42. R’ Yoel, an alumnus of Mesivta of Long Beach and a member of the Board of Directors of the yeshiva, was an outstanding ben Torah and baal chesed whose passing has plunged family and friends into mourning.
R’ Yoel is survived by his wife, Gili, and eleven children.
The levaya will be held on Sunday, 3 Teves/January 1, at Mesivta Shaar Hatalmud, located at 1951 New Central Avenue in Lakewood, at 10:30 a.m. (aprox) Kevurah will follow at the East 7th Street bais hachaim in Lakewood.

ReplyDeleteR Yoel was an amazing person. Any time I needed someone to talk to he would call me back, and he never made me feel like I was taking up his time, even though he was a very busy person. Truly a great person who will be sorely missed by anyone who ever dealt with him.
