On top of everything else, they are from a Foreign Country, one that many consider our Number One Ally. What a terrible thing for Democracy!

- Political pundits in New Jersey analyzing the general elections in Lakewood have speculated that, based on the township’s rapid growth, Lakewood could soon become its own legislative district. - Ami magazine reports on how Agudah reimagines its convention quoting Rabbi zweibel "A Shabbos with gedolim does not carry as much weight today when thousands of lectured and video clips are available online, as it did back when nearly impossible to see or hear from gedolim unless you met them. There's talk of alternating convention weekend every other year a d having a national action summit on the gap year.
- Lakewood Roshei Yeshiva Issue Letter Following Tragic Petirah of Bochurim
Following the heartbreaking petirah of four yeshiva bochurim in a recent car accident and only a few months after a similar tragedy in which three bochurim lost their lives the Lakewood roshei yeshiva penned a heartfelt letter addressing the yeshiva community.
In their letter, they quoted the Rambam, who writes that when tragedy strikes, it serves as a wake-up call for introspection and teshuvah. The roshei yeshiva therefore called upon all yeshivos and mesivtas to gather their talmidim for an asifa to strengthen themselves in avodas Hashem and yiras shamayim.
A large gathering was held this past Thursday night at Ateres Reva Hall, attended by bochurim from across the Lakewood community.
The roshei yeshiva urged everyone to be mechazek in the area of yiras shamayim to remember their role as bnei Torah, to conduct themselves with dignity and kedushah at all times, and to avoid being influenced by the outside environment.
They further offered to personally visit the various mesivtos to deliver divrei chizuk, and they called upon the rebbeim to continue discussing and reinforcing the message of yiras shamayim throughout the year.

- President Trump is going off on the Supreme Court tariff case:
“So, let’s get this straight??? The President of the United States is allowed (and fully approved by Congress!) to stop ALL TRADE with a Foreign Country (Which is far more onerous than a Tariff!), and LICENSE a Foreign Country, but is not allowed to put a simple Tariff on a Foreign Country, even for purposes of NATIONAL SECURITY. That is NOT what our great Founders had in mind! The whole thing is ridiculous! Other Countries can Tariff us, but we can’t Tariff them??? It is their DREAM!!! Businesses are pouring into the USA ONLY BECAUSE OF TARIFFS.“
So now the official spin on the high anti-Schnall vote in Lakewood is that those who voted for Avi Schnall just weren’t smart enough to know what they were doing. The claim is that there was “confusion” on the ballot — since Kean and Schnall were on the same line — and that people accidentally voted for both Thompson and Schnall without realizing they were opponents. In other words, thousands of Vaad followers supposedly made the same “mistake.”
ReplyDeleteIt apparently just can’t be that people deliberately chose to vote for Ned Thompson.
I was sitting next to someone in shul. He said he specifically did not vote for Avi- even though he voted for Jack. He said that he hasn't seen the results of any of Avi's promises.
DeleteThe “free tuition” lie really hurts. It’s a slap in the face to the hardworking Lakewood parents who struggle to keep up with tuition payments. To fool and lull them into voting based on false hope and then to ignore them afterward without even an apology or remorse is a chutzpah of epic proportions. It’s a real shame that the rabbonim who urged us to vote again haven’t even acknowledged or taken any achrayus for this tuition gneivas daas.
DeleteLike I wrote previously If lots of people were deliberately not voting for schnall and they voted for Ned. where did their other vote go? to kean? Then kean should have had a lot more votes all the anti schnall plus schnal votes and he doesn't even have as much as schnall - Fact is I voted for Ned as I didnt remember who the vaad wanted and I am sure others did too sorry but the truth is there isn't much anti vaad like you think do you remember how many vote Hershkowitz got or the Boe candidates that ran against the vaad got?
DeleteIt is pretty easy and simple to vote for only One candidate out of Four, in this case for Ned only and nor for liberal Avi and Sean low-life supporter and track records.
DeleteAnother possibility is to utilize the Write In option.
now- if s/o did vote for Ned and Avi still does not necessarily mean he did not want to vote against Scnall or minimum pro his opponent yet still voted for him in favor of the words of askanim-influenced rabbis; he'll anyways win bla bla bla why not just follow the herd.
The people behind the Achdus campaign have once again made the town feel like fools. After the failed Gottheimer campaign and now with Ciattarelli, instead of taking responsibility or apologizing, they keep digging in deeper, deflecting from reality with post-election propaganda. They emphasize the bloc vote and how it allegedly helped win other races, but they refuse to acknowledge their own role in the failures.
ReplyDeleteThey have taken no responsibility for manipulating the community, failing to deliver on tuition relief promises, or using the public as pawns during the Gottheimer primary which effectively shut the Sherrill campaign out of the Lakewood area. Meanwhile, pressing issues like high property taxes and declining quality of life remain unaddressed.
It’s time to stop playing with people’s minds and wasting taxpayers’ money, especially when they were already awarded substantial grants for their work.
Claims of significant population growth in Lakewood appear largely speculative. Most young couples are not buying homes locally, instead moving to neighboring towns like Jackson, Howell, Toms River, and Manchester. School enrollment data supports this trend, with many new students coming from outside Lakewood.
ReplyDeleteAlthough roughly 50% of Lakewood’s population is under 18, this is a temporary factor: many young families will move once they purchase homes elsewhere. Newlywed kollel couples typically stay for 5–7 years before relocating. Early Lakewood developments have mostly aged past childbearing years, and the senior population tends to replace existing seniors rather than add new residents.
The Chassidishe community remains an exception, continuing to buy homes at younger ages. Looking ahead, potential redistricting could aim to include neighboring growing towns like Jackson with Lakewood.
We all know who was behind the election campaigns. It was none other than avi Schnall who correctly calculated that unless there's major turnout, he will lose. They needed a story to get people to come vote, so first they had everyone switch to Democrat party for Gottheimer, and then claim Citarelli needs our votes to win.
ReplyDeleteThere is NO VOTE BLOCK if the DO NOT agree on the same candidates. Duh LOL

Can we discuss how the polls were so off?
ReplyDeleteWhat we have learned in the latest election is how far people will go to protect their interests. The insiders knew he had no chance but they needed to keep up the charade to ensure large turnout which was need for secure Avi Schnall's reelection.
If Avi would actually deliver on his promises he would get votes the legitimate way. He only got 87% of Lakewood and pittance from his Monmouth County constituency. Why is he ignoring the needs of half his constituents? Had he gotten Howell EMS an ambulance instead of Hatzola he would've earned their votes. He is so out of touch and solely focused on manipulation. A day after last election he already said he never promised tuition relief. Route 9 will never be widened in our lifetime. But as he admitted in his "victory " speech, he learned from the best. Mayer Lichtenstein.
I have a dream that one day a legitimate opposition candidate will run and garner enough votes to end the reign of terror. It might come after were stuck with a 180 million dollar payback request from the state loan. Currently, the bill comes to approx 7K per Lakewood home.
The question is why did Jack come to Lakewood so often? Do you really think it was all Avi's PR getting the oilam excited for Jack so he can get re-elected? I think we are giving too much credit to these people. I dont think they are that smart..
ReplyDeleteThe polls weren't off. In fact Jack received more votes than Murphy received in the last election 4 years ago (when he won).
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, an additional 400,000+ Democrat voters showed up to the polls this election than ever showed up before. The pundits haven't figured out yet who these additional voters are, and why they came. Over the next few weeks, I am sure we will hear from the pundits about this surprise phenomenon.
Jack got just about the amount of votes that were predicted in the polls. The Dem got way more than predicted.
Can rabbi zweibel maybe think of other reasons why no one is interested in the Aguda convention anymore perhaps meaningless topics, speeches from people no one's interested in hearing from, skirting around hot button issues to stay politically correct, vanilla flavor okay for everyone points of wiew not staying true to the aguda hashkafa.... are just some reasons which come to mind
ReplyDeleteA few years ago one of the speakers said that unless they embrace the chasidim, they will become irrelevant. It happened very quickly.
DeleteThe chassidim we're part of aguda from its Inception the fact that they ignore them just shows how far they have strayed it's not like they weren't any disagreements with them but everybody understood that Unity was important.
DeleteThe paid for self promotion on all the news sites of a certain attention hungry person who heads a well know organization is quite ekeldig
ReplyDeleteHow many kids from kolell guys in BMG were not accepted into lakewood cheder yet the scoop posts stupidity about taking in a baal teshuva kid for good PR
ReplyDeleteMrs Blachorsky will be sitting shiva at 519 N Lake not 510 2nd
ReplyDeleteMaybe Aguda should address klal Yisroel’s real problems like the amount of girls staying single due to a system that the gedolim have already said should be changed.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't say it strongly enough. They wouldn't say that they won't attend a chasunah if the takana was not followed.
DeleteIt's time to grow up & stop being miskabeid biklon chaveiro by knocking him down. The election is over. Wish Avi hatzlocha & contact him directly if your have a concern regarding his agenda.
ReplyDeleteFair point, but it goes both ways
DeleteLet him apologize for the failed Tuition relief
Let him explain his voting record on LGBT
Let's see him make a public meet and greet with all his constituents not just a controlled event with chasidishe olam
7:45pm
DeleteWe're very concerned any given week now what disaster he will mess us up with
7:45pm et al
Delete"The election is over.Wish" Mamdani & AOC Hatzlacha & contact them??
Aguda has went the way of the dinosaur. Time for them to throw in the towel or rename it, 8 year siyum Hashas promotion company
