  3. The SNAP reapplication mandate will place an impossible administrative burden on already overworked social services offices without funding for additional staff. This will result in major delays in reapprovals.

  10. Its hardly surprising that Harav Yitzchak Nerya was warmly welcomed by the Rosh Hayeshiva. Harav Yitzchak Nerya shtams from 2 very choshuve mishpachos. Under the directive of the Chazon Ish, his grandfather Harav Nerya zt"l stated at the helm of Kfar Haroeh, a bnei Akiva Yeshiva. For instance, he was the Rav Muvhak of Harav Baruch Weisbecker zt"l, and he sent him for Bais Medrash to Ponevez. His son, Harav Nachum Nerya also went to Ponevez, and Harav Shach was his shadchan to the daughter of a great talmid of Harav Ahron Kotler, Harav Yitzchak Epstein zt"l. The friendship between Rav Aharon's family and Rav Yitzchak's has spanned generations. Harav Yitzchak Nerya is a great proponent of the chareidi yeshivos and the quality, depth and breadth of their learning.

    2. Harav Neriyah was a talmid muvhak of Rav Kook zt"l. Don't rewrite history. Yes, he was an Adam Gadol. But no, he did not have our hashkafos. Don't pretend that only our hashkafos produce Gedolim.
And Kfar Haro'eh was not 'a' Bnei Akiva Yeshiva. It was, and is, 'the' Bnei Akiva Yeshiva. Rav Neriah zt"l was known as the 'father of Bnei Akiva'.

    3. Debatable. Most give R Goldvicht from KBY that credit
A person or rabbi can be a very special man, better perhaps than some of our own,but nevertheless not deserved to be branded with such lofty titles

Though by charedi weekly media standards anybody who eats cholent with a jacket gets a major title

    6. The Nazir, Rav Charlap, Rav Reuven Katz (RY of Lomza Yeshiva in Petach Tikva), and Rav Tzvi Yehuda are all considered talmidei muvhakim of Rav Kook.

    7. R Reuven Katz had many other influences.
R Charlap remained in both camps. So much so, the Eidah offered him to run against his Rebbi

      Delete
    8. Reb Reuven Katz was a supporter, but not a talmid.
Rav Kook had four main talmidim - the Nazir, Rav Neriah, Reb Zvi Yehuda, and Rav Charlap
