Safe with Sefer Torah inside stolen from Lakewood Yeshiva over shabbos
Lakewood police are investigating after it was discovered that a safe containing a sefer Torah was stolen from Cheder Toras Zev in Lakewood over the weekend. Investigators are not sure if the thieves knew what was inside the safe anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities.

ReplyDeletewell let put on our detective hats,, It happened Friday night on shabbos when no one was there..As far as reports go nothing else was stolen so they obviously wanted this safe.. You dont just walk off with a heavy safe at random there must have been some prior knowledge here.. is there any surveillance video? any clues
ReplyDeleteThere is a video all they took was the safe so it seems they knew exactly what they wanted. Also the safe was enclosed as an aron Hakodesh so most probably they wanted the sefer Torah.
DeleteChildren in Cheder Toras Zev recited 10 kapitlach Tehillim. The hanhala reached out to Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita and he said the boys should say Tehillim.
