I first met Rabbi Korbman in June of 1976 when he officiated at my father's funeral. we became good friends after that . Rabbi Korbman was also my son's best friend and my son thought of him as the grandfather he never had. They say in life you have one good friend you are a lucky person in Rabbi Korbman my entire family had that one good friend. I would be remiss if I failed to mention his loving wife Mildred who always was by his side and for the last year never left either the rehab or the hospital room I recall just a few weeks ago visiting with my family the hospital and Mildred in a chair never taking her eyes off the Rabbi. They were a team who always were willing to lend an ear to those who were in need of a bit of advice. Rabbi Korbman I recall when he had a party and the principal of the school Rabbi Korbman was Vice Principal of said his job was an easy one he just let Meyer run the school for no student ever spoke back to Meyer he had the respect of all because Meyer was not a tall person but had the stature of a giant.
