LAKEWOOD - A woman and her two children were injured after they were struck by a vehicle on U.S. Route 9 in Lakewood.
Police say a woman was pushing her children in a carriage across the intersection of U.S. Route 9 and Edgewood Court at around 10 p.m. when the collision occurred.
Authorities say the extent of the victims' injuries is unknown. The two children were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
A Lincoln Towncar was towed from the scene at about 12:30 a.m. A stretch of the roadway was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash. The roadway has since reopened.
Police say no charges against the driver a 50-year-old Toms River man have been filed as of Tuesday morning. News12.com. Watch APP Video below
