Gov. Murphy in Israel: Antisemitism will not be tolerated in NJ

Gov Murphy in Jerusalem with  Rabbi Kotler
NJ Governor Phil Murphy is currently on a visit to Israel for a economic mission to strengthen ties with the state.  Rabbi Aaron Kotler of BMG in Lakewood, Chabad of NJ Rabbi Yosef and Mendy Carlebach and members of the Jewish Federation of NJ accompanied the Gov on his trip.
The Governor Tweeted from the Holy Land

"Anti-Antisemitism cannot and will not be tolerated in New Jersey, and we will continue to stand with all of our communities of faith. Groups that target religious communities do not represent the values of the Garden State."

While in Israel the Governor learned of the passing of his father in law father of his wife Tammy Mr. Edward Brown Snyder. Tammy Murphy told NJ media  she distinctly remembers being with her father who is Jewish at the Western Wall, where she'll pay tribute to him there during the envoy's scheduled trip to the holy site on Tuesday. In a joint statement they said:

"We consider ourselves lucky and blessed to have been able to speak with him one last time, only twelve hours before his passing As a proud member of the Jewish faith, his final ask of us was to continue our trip to Israel. Ever the mensch, he left specific instructions for services to wait until our return. With heavy hearts and tears in our eyes, we will dedicate our presence in this holy land to his memory.”

  2. The askanim who run to Israel with the politicians do nothing for the olam the only thing they do it for is to promote themselves and makes themselves appear powerful. The politicians dont know better and assume that these askanim represent the tzibbur and have our best interest in mind but that can not be further from the truth.
we must send a message loud and clear to the elected officials that those who claim to represent us only do so to empower themselves on our backs.
