American Roshei Yeshiva issue Warning Letter in English for Bochurim When getting deferment from the IDF

Following the arrests of several Yeshiva Bochurim including a American bachur by  Israeli Military Police , Roshei Yeshiva wrote a letter warning bochurim not to fall into the army Gius trap. Those arrested DID go down to the Lishkat Giyus for a deferment but they still got arrested over technicalities. The Letter is signed by Harav Aaron Feldman Shlita Rosh Yeshiva of New Yisrael Baltimore who wax recently In Eretz Yisrael to personally verify all the facts regarding the giyus threat. Rav Shlomo Miller also signed on he is Av Beis Din of Toronto and the Bais Horaah of Lakewood.

    Without the rashei yeshivos telling anyone specifics there is no reason not to go for a deferment. Nothing changed. If he got arrested for technicalities then most likly its not"just a technicality"

      It is just technicalities a Harav Ahron Feldman Shlita was on EY he knows the facts.

    What silence? This seems to tell people to keep the status quo and to register and file for deferment. B/c americans generally travel abroad, they do not have the option of refusing to register.

    The letter is in line with the opinions of Rav Shteinman shlita and the rest of the gedoilim to go immediately to the induction center for the deferment and not delay getting one

      Wow you have no shame to twist the Rosh Yeshivas words. Read the letter he writes these guidelines are only for those that are looking for a deferment if you follow Harav Shmuel Auerbach these guidelines are not applicable.
      Also why were the chatzeiros in bnei brak so enraged about this letter if it is in line with Harav Shteinman.
