One sould not do pleasure shopping in the nine days. Sad that store owners purposely run sales during 9days to entice people to shop.
ReplyDeleteThere is absolutely nonreason you can't buy a toy to keep your children busy on tisha bav . Please don't pasken what you don't know. I have had this business for over 17 years and have asked every shaila you could imagine. Whether it is what age can play with legos on shabbos or being open on chol hamoed and every shaila in between. We are running this sale early because the ad gornyhe sale comes out after tisha bav and we feel bad making people pay full price for a toy they need for tisha bav to keep the children busy. Anyone who knows how I run my store knows that I am opposed.to running ads for kids to bother parents. We don't print catalogs in magazines to make children harass their parents for useless toys. And we suffer finqnvially because of our principles. Our ads are not at all made for children. So unless your kids are reading hefkervelt I don't think you should have a problem. Wishing you an easy and peaceful fast. May we all be celebrating next year in Jerusalem .
DeleteThank you Hefkervelt for having such a valuable resource to get the word out to those that appreciate what we do.
wow you are such a tzadik
DeleteYou can buy it for after Tisha Bav. Sad that you have hate and sinas chinom on erev 9 Bav.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with someone calling out a trend that is against halacha. Sad that you see hate and sinas chinam in everything.
ReplyDeleteAre you a posek? This is not a shaila. You are allowed to buy a toy to keep kids occupied on tisha bav. There is no question. You are probably the same person that defended having a gourmet meat festival on nine days because it is for torah.
