A Reception will take place welcoming the yeshiva bochur who was jailed in Russia at the Lakewood airport on Cedarbridge Avenue 2:30 pm Updated: B"H was set free Baruch Matir Assurim.
No celebration until he's back home. The story was smartly kept low profile. B"H for this wonderful news after spending 14 weeks in a Russian Jail. The recent incident with an American who returned from N. Korea we see how dangerous it is. Baruch matir Asurim.
He was coming back from EY for Pesach with a stop over in Moscow and there was souvenir bullets in his luggage. You cant bring ammunition into the country.
The fact that thousands of 10 of thousands yiddin pass through russia yearly with almost no incidents means that overall its a pretty safe place . The fact that this bachur was incarcerated means that there is more to this story, especially since it was kept so quiet for so long. Happy traveling . Enjoy Moscow and dont do anything stupid.
From what I have heard is that he had an armoured piercing bullet which is illegal in most places and Russia felt he was a spy for which israel was testing their security system.
I'm sure if your family member needed help ,you would not ask the Vaad and you would let them rot in jail because asking the Vaad for help is terrible. Why can't you fargin anything
The story was kep quiet for a reason there was a strategic decision not to publicize it in the media. What's disgusting is how the vaad had its PR machine use the story for themselves. They inserted stuff that was irrelevant to the story to promote themselves and fool the olam again how great they are. The vaad is great at not missing opportunities to make themselves look good.
how much is the CORRUPT VAAD paying you to write comments for them? which vaad member are you? the money one or the kavod one etc....
a true community vaad is when a group of people are there for the ENTIRE COMMUNITY not just for a tiny few & just to pocket their money etc....
such a chillul Hashem.... and from a torah community like lakewood.... how will they face Hashem in the olam haemes for this big chillul Hashem?.... there is no teshuva in this world for chillul Hashem
I know first hand that the first time the vaad got involved was to thank themselves in the article. They did not do a thing to help him or to get him out.
The story had one guy making contact with the next guy who managed to persuade the CEO to ask Mrs Jacobowitz too get involved. And that is a Va'ad that is ours!
Additionally, there is a whole different angle out there. The whole rescue was arranged from EY and this bochur's Rosh Yeshiva. No Va'ad or asskanim, nobody with cellphones on Yomtov.
Its also amazing that his name is not used in any article despite the fact that he did "nothing" wrong. Also why noy say what he brought in so anyone elsr can learn from his "mistake"
B"H he was freed and will be coming home.

ReplyDeleteTotal sheker.do your home work before spewing stupidity
DeleteTotally agree with Anonymous. Stop spewing.
DeleteAnd of course the Vaad had to take credit and show off its connections on the Fakewood pravda.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if your family member needed help ,you would not ask the Vaad and you would let them rot in jail because asking the Vaad for help is terrible. Why can't you fargin anything
DeleteThe point is how the vaad used this opportunity to make themselves relevant and look good. T
DeleteI love how everyone here is anonymous. Not a single real person here
ReplyDeleteIncluding YOU!
DeleteIf you can't beat em join em. Also boich svarah isn't much better
DeleteOn the contrary. For 4 months the Vaad said nothing. That is very commendable. Some people just hate no matter what. Sinah is not a nice thing.

ReplyDeleteI know first hand that Mrs Jacobowitz has been working on this day and night. Why can't you be makir tov?
DeleteShe's not the vaad. She works for bmg.
DeleteThe vaad is appointed and controlled by BMG. So she is definitely working For the Vaad.
DeleteThe story had one guy making contact with the next guy who managed to persuade the CEO to ask Mrs Jacobowitz too get involved. And that is a Va'ad that is ours!

Will the vvaad be helping with a new set of matir asurim cases from this morning in lakewood?
ReplyDeleteJust amazing how the vaad hijacked the story for some positive press.
ReplyDeleteIts also amazing that his name is not used in any article despite the fact that he did "nothing" wrong. Also why noy say what he brought in so anyone elsr can learn from his "mistake"
DeletePlenty of articles mentioned what it was.
DeleteBut Yet you fail to mention it here!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your tefilous to get him out and yes the vaad was involved there were hundreds of people working 24/7 to get him out
