ReplyDeleteI don't know this person, but the rule of thumb is - someone who doesn't know nigleh, cannot be an expert in nistar. The Chazon Ish told Reb Shlomke Berman this about a famous mekubal in EY.
DeleteIf someone comes along claiming expertise in Kabbalah, try him out in Nigleh and see if he is a talmid chacham. Not the ability to say a vertel or to remember a Gemara or two, but a serious Talmid Chacham. If not, no mekubal either.
