- A Lakewood vaad member writes a post on LinkedIn why Traffic in Lakewood is a good sign. The article started with "I love the Lakewood traffic!"
I know that’s not what you were expecting to hear, but let me explain why.
I believe the traffic is actually a symbol of a healthy community and economy.
When so many people are going about their day, there’s more opportunity to connect, do business, and grow. Yes, it might be hard to get around, but it’s a sign of something great!
Think of Manhatten.It’s always congested.
But you know what?
👉That’s where all the business happens.
Yes, if you go out to the boondocks, you may have a much quieter, peaceful existence, but the business opportunities are just not the same.
And it’s not only better for the business owners, it benefits the consumer as well.
More businesses = More competition = Better Prices. So, next time you find yourself stuck in traffic, and feel like complaining, remember this. It’s just a sign of a robust vibrant community. And that’s a good thing!
Do you agree?

The arrogance and cruelty of this vaad guy to ignore the millions of wasted hours the bittul Torah
ReplyDeleteThe loss of wages from people coming late to work
The loss to business that had to close because customers can't get there all for some likes and hits on linked in
Few few feh that these people have any part in representing lakewood
This is vile and wicked
Pure rishus with not a shred of rachmanus
achzariyus!
Silly face. If there is so much traffic that means that tons of people live there also and can patronize those stores. Would it be better if there was 35 people in Lakewood and they were all easily able to make it to his store. Would that help his business?
Deletemanhattan has public transportation
ReplyDeleteCorrect. Manhattan has no traffic your a genius.
DeleteI didn't move here to live in Manhattan
ReplyDeleteI didn't move here for the business world, I moved here for a heimishe community. They did a bait and switch!
I still did not recover from the fact that you moved here. Why did you have to come here and make my town so crowded.
DeleteI love you what I mean to say is that it was already crowded before you came. I'm not sure why you think it was okay for you to get what you need and then complain about everyone after you
Shlomo Carlebach was a great man in certain ways. There was no greater oheiv Yisroel. And his music has uplifted thousands upon thousands. But it was always well known in the yeshiva velt that in certain areas he had serious shortcomings. So while we all appreciate and sing and become inspired by his music (כמבואר באגרות משה), an event celebrating Shlomo Carlebach as a person is out of place.
ReplyDeleteDo you sing Kah ribon?
DeleteExactly.
DeleteName of this vaad guy?

To our Wise and Great (Mis)leaders,Thank you for making Lakewood the BIGGEST of the BIG,all the while ignoring most of Lakewood. Why we're The Biggest in cranking out a continuous Chillel H', everyday for the world to see,Biggest Attorney fees,(what a lesson in BIG GREED),Biggest Taxes for most, little tax for connected folks,Biggest Traffic nitemare for All,100 plus accidents a week but no connection to the 2000 plus homes to be built soon. highest car insurance in state because of accidents and very poor infrastructure. The Gaiva and greed displayed by our selfish leaders is very Telling by their simply Ignoring us, kinda like the current Democrats.Dont use the Fruma Chesbin of Daas Torah on us so that you all can continue to DISGRACE and DISTORT the Torah. By the way, hows the Traffic Pattern in Park City Utah today

First of all the bittul torah is not worth a minute of successful buisness!!
ReplyDelete2nd of all I didn't see any prices go down if anything it all went up and if your going to tell me "inflation"
Brooklyn for example prices were always more expensive than lakewood now aside from housing I think almost everything else is more expensive in Lakewood!
If anything all this success in buisness brings "gvir culture"
that drive up prices!

ReplyDeleteThese are d talking points from the master of deflection AK
ReplyDeleteHe would spin Lakewood traffic issues as how beautiful it is to see so many yudden after the Holocaust and a bunch of other talking points to divert from what they did to Lakewood by ruining people's life as they developed a town with no infrastructure
This is what the Bad vaad has done
There's no מחילה for the צער אגמת נפש הפסד ממון בטול זמן גניבת דעת בטול תורה הזיק רבים and ruining people's lives.
"NO GREATER oheiv Yisroel??" Afrah lepumeih. I can think of many others.
ReplyDeleteBesides, who says oheiv yisroel merely means a person full of emotion and heart?
That’s my פה you’re talking about and I resent that. Anyway you don’t know what you’re talking about. Read anything about him. He devoted his life to helping yidden of any and all stripes.
DeleteThank you , oh great and wise leaders for exacting Vengeance and Mafia Tactics on Fellow Jews, simply because they offer ideas that would make our lives a bit easier. AL and HH, Be Blessed, AK et al,Thanks for making OUR lives more unbearable every day
ReplyDeleteThey imported Brooklyn into Lalewood chased away the yeshivaleit from Lakewood making it unaffordable and developed without a chesnon and zero planning
ReplyDeleteNot that smart of those people in charge
There was chesbon.
DeleteThis is it.Too bad you folks are on the wrong end
Even in Lita, there were maybe a handful of kollel yungeleit.
DeleteKollel as we know it is a strictly American thing. And the original plan was to leave kollel for the job world.
a.There would have been much more had they been able to afford it
Deleteb. That old system had broken down in the modern climate therefore the pathfinders eg R'Dessler decided this new style would be better going forward
a. How can they afford it in America? Ein davar omed lifnei haratzon.
DeleteAs the article says, kollel families overlook high prices, etc.
B. Or the emphasis has changed from ruchnius to gashmiut, with a supposed consideration to kollel learning.
Don't believe it.
B2. Was that part of Rav Dessler's equation?
Yes, sacrifice 999 yeshiva bochurim for the one that will supposedly become a gadol.
We don't see that gadol, but we do see the failure of 999.
And we also see the 999's conspicuous consumption and the traffic on route 9 populated by late model Tesla's.
DeleteNow that those sacrificing, rather than placed on a pedestal, are treated as lower on the communal pyramid sadly it's basically over for the concept. At least in Central Jersey
The system both here & there was predicated on sacrifice.
