Update Mortzes gedolei Torah of Agudath Yisroel of America joins the call of Gedoleu EY
A cross section of Gedolei Yisroel of Chasidishe, Litvish and Sefardi, from Eretz Yisroel and The Unites States and UK issue statements calling on klal yisroel for a Yom Tefillah This first Monday of Behab 1oth day of Cheshvan. The letters refer to the bloodshed in E"Y Antisemitism across the world and sinas Hatorah. Rav moshe Sternbuch wrote we are in danger from people in the outside and these from within who seek to annihilate us. They ask that everyone gather in the shuls and yeshivos to say kapitlach Tehillim. The Lakewood Roshei yeshiva signed on too.
Why is Aguda of USA MIA again
ReplyDeleteWhat is going on???
They are in mourning after Harris lost
DeleteThe first photo is signed by the Moetzet. That's Agudah. Not that Agudah listens to the Moetzet. Agudah wants it the other way around, the Moetzet listens to the Agudah.
DeleteYou are in such a rush to bash the agudah you cant take one second to look at the pictures. Says a lot.
DeleteThey make a hoopla whenever they're in need to regain relevance
DeleteThe issue is not Jew-hatred but anti-Zionism. Unfortunately, we are affected due to our obvious dress as frum Jews. We should daven for the end of Zionism.
ReplyDeleteThe issue is that Frum Jews are disconnected from reality on this topic, yet talk about this topic with such authority that people accept what they are saying as the gospel truth. You sound worse than Slifkin when he’s bashing chareidim. Because he was actually a chareidi once.
DeleteAlmost the entire Frum world missed the boat when Hertzel tried waking everyone up about returning to our heritage and roots in Eretz Yisrael. Agudath Yisrael should’ve been at the forefront and ultimately taken over the entire Zionist enterprise from day one but they were asleep. And now 120 years later, the drum world is still playing catch-up. Which is the same reason for this entire drafting debacle in chareidi land. Frum jews should be the first and the proudest to serve in a Jewish army by completely taking it over and making it a religious army to defend their friends and family and land. It’s a no-brainer. But the leadership is asleep as they were 120 years ago. We need to start leading our leaders in the right direction.
פני הדור כפני הכלב
Anti-Zionism is motivated by anti-semitism.
DeleteThere is no difference between the way you think and the secular Jews who think “it isn’t anti-semitism. They are right to have issue with those uncultured, primitive, racist Jews who don’t act in accordance with our enlightened Western values.” You just happen to have been born on the other side.
DeleteYou're the actual כלב and brainless to boot.
DeleteChareidim championed Aliyah until weitzman was put into power by the British.
Agudah did not exist during Herzl's lifetime.
DeleteInstead a group of Rabbonim who were disorganized (even Agudah was disorganized), many of whom were Tziyonim to some degree themselves (some Agudah founders were Tziyonim too).
Not everyone's the Chofetz Chaim or the Minchas Eluzur.
That entire rant made no sense. How exactly should agudah have taken over the zionist movement? Especially when it is a violation of the 3 oaths. How exactly should the frum world currently take over the idf? Please elaborate i need a good laugh. And you end off with pnei hador kepenei hakelev as if its a good thing and something we are suppose to be striving for.
DeleteThe Frum world got it wrong. The Gedolei Yisroel don't know what they are talking about.
DeleteOnly Nordau and Herzl got it right. Reb Chaim Brisker and the Rashab, the Chofetz Chaim and the Shinever Rav, none of them knew what they were talking about.
The foolishness and arrogance of some people is comical.

DeleteAgudah WAS at the forefront. They were even negotiating with the Turks.
When Weizman was concurrently negotiating with the Brits, they allowed the zionists to take the lead & fame but with conditions-which were never kept!
8:55, Most earlier agudists were of the earliest religious zionists originally in some form who had instead been "mugged by reality"
Frum jews should be the first and the proudest to serve in a Jewish army by completely taking it over and making it a religious army to defend their friends and famil"
DeleteFantastic. But how is that supposed to happen?Telling everybody disband,to go home, & leave to us their weapons
The Aguda and the moetzes is the same as harav zwiebel follows daas Torah
ReplyDeleteYour expecting the agudah balematim to call for a yom tefilah?? Thats why you called them MIA? Just imagine the reaction in the comments if in addition to the moetzes letter there was one from zwiebel.
DeleteDT= Defensive Tackle
DeleteI know. Your right. We should've just been yaaleh bechoma. We were wrong for listening to Chazal who listened to the Ribono Shel Olom. As you say, its a no-brainer.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm happy to hear at least that you're passionate enough to head up north to Lebanon. Stay safe, dude.
In Dugma L’Abba the Chofetz’s Chaim son who wrote the Mishna Brurah with him, writes that his father celebrated the Balfour Declaration but said he was worried the secular Zionists would ruin things. I was positive that can’t be true because it ran so counter to what I was told to think ( that son was also the president of Mizrachi in Poland but of course no one told me that either ) However someone I know asked Rav Lezer Levin who was the only known Talmid of the CC from that period who was then still alive and he confirmed that the CC celebrated the Balfour Declaration.
ReplyDeleteThe problem?
DeleteWhat could possibly be any stretch have been wrong with the Balfour Declaration?
It was enough to give goosebumps.
It was however how it would swiftly be misused afterwards primarily by those concurrently driving it with the agenda of the Russian Revolution or flapper lifestyle that things went awry
The CC had some choice negative comments for Bar Illan when he visited
DeleteReb Elchanan quotes the CC as having said, "For those who believe in Chazal's promises, the Balfour declaration is like pennies on the dollar. Hashem promised us much more than that, and we can be sure that this is nothing compared to that."
DeleteHe believed that the celebrations forgot that the promises of the Nevi'im would all come true. That's what was wrong with celebrating the Balfour declaration.
The CC did not express himself with "choice negative comments" If he wanted to reflect negatively on someone he would have done so using the words of Chazal that would make the point on their own. There are no reliable sources for what his view on Zionism was. The only know few times he said anything against the Zionists, he was speaking against a general anti-Torah haskafa they were saying. It wasn't Zionism per se that he was taking issue with. There are no reliable sources that he ever criticized Mizrahi. He certainly address Rav Kook with plenty of honorifics in Michtovey Chofetz Chaim. (yes, I know the CC saw the light and changed his mind about Rav Kook later. there is no reliable evidence that claim is true)
DeleteThe Balfour Declaration was celebrated by the ohr same'ach who stated it rendered moot the 3 shevuos [at least as far as having a Mandate was concerned]
Delete8:35
ReplyDeleteHe told Bar Illan directly disconnecting him from his father
