- Sirens in Tel Aviv  & Ramat Gan early morning as rockets fired from Lebanon aimed at central Israel  the furthest so far.

- Journalist Yinon Magal (Channel 14): "A senior official told me that in Lebanon, they are going all the way, including Beirut."

- The next steps that Israel is considering as part of the war in the North: targetted ground raids, strikes in Beirut, and attacking significant stores of munitions that have not yet been attacked. (Channel 14)

- IDF spokesman: "At least two additional commanders were killed along with the head of Hezbollah's missile array, Kabisi. In the last few days, he was responsible for the shooting into Haifa - including the shooting this morning. Today, about 300 rockets were fired into the Israeli rear, injuring six civilians and soldiers - most of them lightly.”
“Hezbollah wanted to shoot more today. We disrupt and thwart this shooting. I won't go into detail about Hezbollah's firing capabilities to not give the enemy a picture and clarity. 

- Biden speech today at the UN general assembly "Hezbollah, unprovoked, joined the October 7th attack, launching rockets into Israel."
Full-scale war is not in anyone's interest. Even though the situation has escalated, a diplomatic solution is still possible."

- Today marks 12 months since the massacre on Simchas Torah but since it was a leap year the Yartzeit is next month

- UN Secretary-General António Guterres accuses Israel of “collective punishment” of the Palestinians in Gaza.

- The Lebanese Ministry of Health updates the casualty figures from yesterday's IDF attacks in Lebanon: 558 dead and 1835 wounded.

- IDF distances itself from reports that strikes took out 50% of Hezbollah’s precision-guided missiles

- A senior Israeli Air Force officer says the airstrikes carried out over the past day against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon are the most extensive the IAF has carried out in its history.

- More than 1,600 Hezbollah sites, mostly homes where weapons were stored, were struck in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley within a day, according to the IDF.

Gedolei Yisrael: Do Not Report to IDF Recruitment Offices

 In a very strong letter today Gedolei Roshei yeshiva in Eretz yisrael iasued a call to all bnei yeshiva specifically those of graduate high schools who are now learning in yeshiva,  with  clear instructions not to report to the recruiting offices known as Lishkat Giyus under any circumstances or appointments and resist any call but continue studying Torah.,they promised that even if one of you gets arrested, the entire yeshiva world will join together and fight for you like they would for every other yeshiva bochur. The Letter is signed by Rav Dov Landau, Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rav Meir Tzvi Bergman, Rav Berel Povarsky, Rav Yitzchok Zilberstein, Rav Moshe Yehuda Shlesinger of Kol Torah and Rav Tzvi Dravkin Grodno Beer Yaakov.

- Khal Hampshire Hills of Jackson Receives pproval to build New Bais Medrash

- Rebb Mottel Dick informed the bochurim in his shiur that next zman 4th year sukkos they can't remain in the Yeshiva and should go to learn at the many  yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel. This is following up a decision by some roshei yeshiva to have the bochurim leave earlier to EY in an effort to level the age gap in shidduchim. Other Roshei yeshiva are not on board with this and those bochurim stay until pesach of 4th year. Another component in bridging the gap was to have girls wait a year after seminary before entering shidduchim. 

Gridlock traffic this afternoon Cedarbridge Pine Central avenue, and LPD also ticketing cars.

- Stop & Shop Jackson location permanently closed. no word on who will be taking over the location The Howell Stop & Shop is also scheduled to close soon.

-  Car insurance coverage  some people are unaware but if there's another driver registered at the same address  they can be added to your policy without you knowing about it if you have auto pay and not paying attention. This  has happened to a few local residents who were paying more for car insurance when the company gets MVC records showing drivers at the same address without checking to see if they have coverage with another company.

- The U.S. Department of Justice released a chilling assassination letter today, written by attempted Trump assassin Ryan Wesley Routh. It was allegedly found in a box given to an unnamed witness by Routh, and remained unopened by the witness until after Routh’s arrest on Sept. 15.* A portion of the letter read, “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”

- Tonight nonstop sirens in the north from incoming rockets in the Galil region Jeezreel Valley and Afula reports of a direct hit in a Arab village near Nazareth. Magen David Adom  says paramedics are treating a number of people hurt while running for shelter or who are suffering shock, after apparent rocket fire set off sirens in communities across the north.

- The United States is presenting “concrete” ideas to ease the crisis in Lebanon, a US official says, while voicing opposition to any Israeli ground invasion to target Hezbollah.

- Former CIA director Leon Panetta called Israel's targeted pager attack on Hezbollah terrorists last week "a form of terrorism" in an interview on CBS on Sunday. 

- Missile in the attic: IDF releases photos of Hezbollah munitions in Lebanese homes
Army shows long-range missile on a launcher in a family’s attic, notes secondary explosions after airstrikes.

- Lufthansa  and Swiss Air cancel flights to Israel until mid October

- Iranian Foreign Minister: "We will not remain indifferent and will stand by the Palestinian and Lebanese people."

 - Netanyahu in the Cabinet Meeting: "Everyone is in the crosshairs." 

- The Pentagon announces that the US will immediately deploy additional forces to the Middle East due to the escalation between Israel and Lebanon.

- Lebanese Sources have now confirmed that Ali Karaki, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front and one of the last remaining Members of Hezbollah’s Military High-Chain of Command, was Eliminated by an Israeli Airstrike tonight on the Capital of Beirut.

- The Israeli security establishment estimates that 50% of Hezbollah's rocket/missile capabilities have been damaged or destroyed since the beginning of the war. Most of the damage was done in the last two days (Hillel Biton Rosen)

- IDF: We have attacked over 1,100 targets using over 1,400 weapons. 650 attack sorties were carried out in the last day alone. Rockets, missiles, launchers, and UAVs were targeted. The Air Force continues to attack hundreds of targets in Lebanon even during these 


- Another massive wave of IDF strikes all over Lebanon, including the Bekaa Valley. Reports of "fire belts" being used in various locations. According to IDF estimates, most of Hezbollah's long-range rockets are stored in the Bekaa region

- Lebanon death toll 275 dead and 1024 wounded from IDF strikes so far. Lebanese official to Reuters: "The death toll in today's attacks is the highest since the end of the [Lebanese] Civil War in 1990."

- Heavy barrage of Hezbollah rockets towards Yokneam and Emek Yizrael in the galil Chaifa suburbs and Palestinian villages in the west bank he IDF assessment is that these launches are from areas where the IDF is currently operating (Bekaa Valley) to use them before they are eliminated.

- This morning, the IDF launched a large-scale wave of strikes against Hezbollah terror targets. So far, dozens of Air Force fighter jets have attacked 800 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley deep in Lebanon in several waves."

- So, what exactly is happening today in Lebanon? For years, Hezbollah rented ground floors in houses in Shia villages in Lebanon. Every homeowner who agreed - received a monthly stipend for years. Each floor was turned into a hangar with cruise missiles, heavy rockets, etc. For years, Israeli intelligence quietly and systematically mapped the houses. Today, the IDF intends to “redeem” this bank of targets in one operation. (Raylan Givens)


- Massive IDF air strikes on Lebanon, more than 500 strikes so far. Lebanese Ministry of Health has updated: 100 dead and more than 400 injured in the wave of attacks

- Following the instructions of the IDF spokesman this morning, the residents of southern Lebanon are fleeing to the north en masse. The roads are congested; the traffic is not flowing.

- Israeli residents in the north are told to stay close to protected rooms and shelters. Hezbollah fired rockets into the Tzfas and kindred areas most falling in open areas. A direct hit to a home in Gan Avnei but the residents were in shelter and unharmed.

- IDF Spokesman in Arabic, Col. Avihai Adrai: "An urgent warning to the residents of the villages in Lebanon: if you are in or near a building that Hezbollah uses to store weapons or munitions, you must evacuate that building and stay away from it immediately. Anyone who is near Hezbollah operatives or a weapon of the organization puts himself in danger."

- Unnamed intelligence officials tell Army Radio they believe that recent messages attributed to Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar were written by someone other than the terror leader.

-"It is entirely possible that the IDF will need to enter Lebanon on the ground," Former Commander of the IDF General Staff Corps, Major-General (Res.) Gershon HaCohen said on Monday.

- Multiple outlets are reporting that Israeli PM Netanyahu is considering a siege plan for northern Gaza. Times of Israel quotes a member of the Israeli military as describing the siege as follows: "We have to tell the residents of north Gaza that they have one week to  evacuate the territory, which then becomes a military zone; [a zone] in which every figure is a target and, most importantly, no supplies enter this territory."

- Report in the British Economist: "Israel is planning a ground invasion of Lebanon, which will include the seizure of a security strip a few kilometers deep North of the border." 

- BREAKING Israeli media is reporting that senior officers in IDF Military Intelligence believe that Sinwar is NO LONGER ALIVE and was killed in an IDF strike. Their assessment is due to a lack of communication from him and other classified “sources”. However, the Shin Bet disagrees with this assessment and believes that while Sinwar may have been INJURED by an IDF strike, he is still alive.
few weeks ago the IDF conducted a specific attack with an indication that Sinwar was there. Since then, he has not been heard from. This is where the debate began between Aman and Shin Bet whether he was struck or not. (Raylan on Twitter)

Originally there were plans to make it in Manhattan but due to the UN assembly it couldn't work out several locations in Brooklyn were looked into was ruled out as they were told to accommodate the yiden in Lakewood so no one has to travel too far from their locations. They are hopeful that in the next few days they can work on a secure and safe location with proper preparation. the gathering was meant to send a message to the Yidden in Eretz  Yisrael that we have their back and are supporting them. and B"H the achdus of everyone getting together already sent that message. Atzeres Tefilah will Take Place in Newark, New Jersey

The location is a huge outdoor area enough to accommodate the tens of thousands expected. It is right off the highway and no traffic expected on Sunday. The event will be short and to the point beginning at 1pm and over before 5pm.

Satmar Rebbe Meets with Donald Trump in NYC

Satmar officials correctted the initial report saying the rebbe met with Eric Trump and not with Donald Trump. The rebbe also reached out to philanthropist R' Rubin Schron a good friend of former president Trump asking that he intercede on a federal level to work around the gezeiras Hachinuch in New York.

Israel media report the meeting was arranged with the mayor of Kiryas Yoel at 10am this morning. The rebbe initially backed democrat Kathy Hochul for NYS governor over republican Lee Zeldin, for the promise to change the laws effecting the general hachinuch in NY. It's been 2 years since and there no changes. The rebbe is now working to elect Republicans and has reached out to Trump for federal government to get involved with the general hachinuch of NYS mandating curriculum in yeshivas.

Today the Satmar Rebbe Rav Aaron Teitelbaum had a meeting with former president Donald Trump at Trump tower in New York City. The meeting was organized after the Trump campaign reached out seeing the large block vote of frum Jews in Brooklyn and Upstate including Monroe. Yiddish media reports the rebbe and other rabbonim are asking President Trump to see if the federal government can get involved in coming up with a plan to defeat the general Hachinuch in New York state.
