Israel At War Tuesday April 8

 Israel at war day 550

-A large-scale wave of US military strikes against Houthi targets in Sana'a province. Earlier, targets were attacked in the provinces of Ibb and Dhamar.

- IDF Spokesperson: The IDF attacked, using fighter jets, a weapons depot belonging to the Hezbollah air defense system in the Bekaa region, deep in Lebanon.

- Hezbollah source tells Reuters: We are ready to discuss disarmament, "if Israel withdraws from southern Lebanon and stops attacking."

- IDF Chief of Staff visits 36th Division fighters on the Morag axis in Gaza: "You have returned to fight in the Gaza Strip, where IDF forces are operating for the first time - I expect you to defeat the Rafah Brigade and lead to victory wherever you fight."
"At the beginning of Passover, the holiday of freedom, the goal of our operation here is clear and ethical - returning all of our hostages home, victory, and a blow to Hamas."

- Iranian officials told Reuters they were coming to the indirect talks with the United States on Saturday "with little confidence in the progress of the process and deep suspicion" about US intentions. Iranian officials said they wanted to see "clear gestures" to move forward with direct talks with the U.S.

-A Western source for the Saudi Al-Hadath channel: After the fall of Assad and the restrictions on the air route, Hezbollah began using the sea to smuggle weapons. According to him, the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards opened a fast route to transfer weapons to Lebanon, away from Syria and Iran, which rely on smuggling by sea directly to Lebanon.

-Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to President Trump's remarks last night: "We have no intention of the talks in Oman being direct. The key is with the US—if the Americans come with absolute determination, we will achieve results. There are no preconditions in the negotiations. We expect the sanctions imposed on us to be lifted as a step to build trust. This is our primary goal.
